What an incredible weekend we had at Aintree this year and it was captured perfectly on Twitter.

You’ve got to love social media for huge events like The Randox Health Grand National, even if you’re not at the event, you can get a real sense of the electric atmosphere, in the palm of your hand. From the moment the Aintree Racecourse opened it’s gates, until the last train home, the three day festival was all caught on camera phone, and we can’t stop watching it! The winners, the fillies, the hats and the fellas in kilts, scroll down to see the best of the bunch.

Opera Singer Laura Wright wowed the crowds with the national anthem in the sunshine while a reported 600 million turned in around the world.

We have watched this video at least 25 times in the office today. Utterly brilliant atmosphere and moves at the Red Rum Garden.

Carrying on the party back in town, Merseyrail did a sterling job of getting us back into the city for a much needed Chinese and more cocktails.
