Dress your dog up for New Brighton Seaside Festival in May

If your dog didn’t make it to Crufts this weekend fear not as they will still have their chance to shine!

Orb Events has teamed up with Wirral Animal Sanctuary to present a Doggie Fancy Dress Parade at the New Brighton Seaside Festival!

Taking place on Bank Holiday Monday on 29th May, the event will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the canine calendar this spring.

We spoke to Debbie Boyd from ORB Events who are putting on the festival to find out more.

Orb Events & Wirral Animal Sanctuary invite proud pooches to join the parade of doggies displaying their fabulous costumes as they strut their stuff at the festival in New Brighton and there will be prizes for the most amazingly dressed mutts!

Prizes include a doggy photo shoot with The Flying Canadian Photography, a Doggy Spa Day (dog walk, bath and groom) with The Butler Did It Concierge Company, a Doggy Hamper and much more!

So, whether your corgie likes to dress as a crab, your poodle prefers to be a pirate or your bull mastiff looks fetching as a mermaid, dress them up and bring them along to the New Brighton Seaside Festival for some good old fashioned family fun. We guarantee you’ll be howling with laughter and your pooch will be straining at the leash to take part!

The Doggie Fancy Dress Parade will take place from 2-4pm. To enter, register your details on the Facebook page – it’s a walk in the park! It costs just £2 to enter and proceeds will be donated to Wirral Animal Sanctuary.

The Parade will be part of a fantastic three-day family event taking place over the Spring Bank Holiday (27-29 May). The festival will take over a huge space in front of Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton Beach, Marine Lake and Promenade in New Brighton.

The first large scale seaside festival of its kind in the area, the weekender is the brainchild of Liverpool event management company Orb Events; the team behind some of the City Region’s largest festivals including the award-winning Liverpool Loves, Liverpool Pride, and Farm Feast.

Promising a cocktail of live entertainment, amazing street food, chef demos, family activities and a host of seaside-themed attractions – this exciting addition to the region’s event calendar is not to be missed.

The Festival begins at 10am each day from Saturday, May 27 to Monday, May 29. With a varied and interactive programme across three days, the weekend is guaranteed to put a spring in the step of family visitors just in time for the Bank Holiday break.

The full programme of activities will be announced soon. A park and ride service will be available. For more information visit http://www.seaside-festival.co.uk/
