Fancy taking on Adventure Dock for The Whitechapel?

The Whitechapel Centre is looking for teams to take on the wettest and bounciest obstacle circuit in the Royal Albert Dock.

The Adventure Dock Challenge at Liverpool’s newest outdoor attraction takes place on Thursday 6 September 2018 to raise money to end homelessness. The money raised will help the charity continue helping vulnerable people who are homeless find safe accommodation and support them into reaching their full potential.

Be prepared to make a splash!! You are guaranteed to get wet on the giant inflatable obstacle circuit, made up from 50 different obstacles including slides, trampolines, rafts and barriers all joined together to create an exciting and challenging course. There will be team games, timed trails and lots of fun to be had on the evening.

One of the first to sign-up, the team from law firm Weightmans are ready to go.

Steve Peacock, Partner and Head of Weightmans’ Liverpool office said:

“Charity fundraising is a big part of our thriving CSR programme and we are delighted to take part in the adventure dock challenge to raise much-needed funds for The Whitechapel Centre, our nominated Liverpool office charity. It will be a fun day for a great cause.

Working together will be crucial to our success on the day, and as teamwork and respect are integral values of the firm, I have no doubt that our staff will splash their way to the top – wishing them all the very best of luck!”

Ruth McCaughley, Fundraising Manager for The Whitechapel Centre says:

“We are incredibly excited about our first event at The Adventure Dock Challenge. What’s really great about this event is anyone can sign up, as long as they can swim 25 metres. Whether you are taking part on your own, with your family and friends, or as part of a work team it’s going to be an adventure you will never forget! In the past few years we’ve seen a rise in the number of people who are homeless in Liverpool and the money raised is essential to help The Whitechapel Centre end homelessness in Liverpool.”

The Adventure Dock Challenge takes place at Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool from 5pm, Thursday, 6 September. Wet suits, buoyancy aids and helmets will be provided; you just need to bring a swimming costume or trunks and a towel. Participants must be aged 8 or over, be able to swim 25 metres and sign up in advance. The registration fee is £10 per person and all participants are asked to raise sponsorship for The Whitechapel Centre.
