The Florist will take over the former Old Blind School and open in 2018

The Florist will be opening its doors on 24 Hardman Street in Liverpool at the beginning of 2018.

The new venue will deliver an uplifting experience for all guests that charms the senses with touches of vintage elegance. The award-winning pub brand will provide something for everyone with its famous formula of incredible cocktails and selection of world ale, alongside its vibrant food menu that’s complete with deli, rotisserie and grill-inspired delights.

The collection of clean, fresh and aromatic cocktails are inspired by the elegant surroundings. The menu includes familiar and reassuring favourites, to surprising seasonal twists from the garden along with herbal-enhanced drinks.

For those looking for a beer or ale there are over 60 to choose from around the world. Each beer has been hand-picked for its different flavours and is a mix of well-known and artisan pours.

The Florist will be a welcoming bar and restaurant, where every sight, sound, texture, taste and smell has been carefully chosen, considered and arranged to create an evocative experience that effortlessly uplifts, calms, invites, stimulates, inspires, excites, reassures and relaxes.

Each guest will be delighted with the sounds of the tinkling of cutlery and crockery to pastoral sounds of nature for a relaxing daytime lunch. In the evenings guests will be treated to daily live music playing acoustic, clean, elegant sounds.

The Florist will be situated in the former Royal School for the Blind, an 1850’s Grade 2 listed building. The décor is an impressive take on the old and the new, with the combination of Victorian touches, coupled with a striking large central staircase and cosy open fires.

The space is an elegant mix of beautiful, harmonious colour and patterns, alongside natural, inviting, tactile textures. From smooth and shiny surfaces and materials to create cool and calm, to soft ribbons, coarse string and crinkly wrapping paper for a touch of nature and warmth.

Throughout the building guests will discover fragrant, uplifting, evocative scents from subtly perfumed room diffusers, to fresh fruit and herbs.

Chris Hill, CEO of The New World Trading Company said: “We are excited to be opening our second Florist in the former Old Blind School pub. The Florist will be following in the success of our other venues, The Club House and Smugglers Cove. We are very much looking forward to immersing The Florist in local life.”

The launch of the new pub will bring new job roles including a range of positions in management, front of house and within the kitchen. Further information on recruitment will be announced in 2018.
