Your Guide Liverpool for the week ahead (17th-23rd July 2017)

It’s going to be a HUGE week for music in Liverpool and we’ve got all the line up details you need to make some unforgettable summer memories.

This week is a real mixed bag across the region with speed dating, a dose of modern art and tonnes of new menus to try out before a weekend packed with music. Your Guide Liverpool loves a good weekend shindig (does anyone say that anymore?) and this weekend is all about LIMF 2017. With four days of music at Sefton Park, there’s a beat, rhythm and singalong for everyone…..just pray for sunshine!

Here’s Your Guide Liverpool for the week ahead (17th-23rd July 2017)….

Monday 17th July

Taste the Rainbow at The Bagelry, Nelson Street

Start your week with the cutest and brightest breakfast around, a rainbow bagel from The Bagelry. Unsurprisingly these little stunners sell out ridiculously quickly, so it’s best to call your order into the shop so you don’t miss out. Check out the huge variety of freshly baked bagels on offer here.

Culture Fix, Affecting Change, Open Eye Gallery, Mann Island

Your Guide Liverpool loves a good scouse brag and Open Eye Gallery is doing just that with Open 3, Affecting Change. The works on show look into the daily lives of people working hard to transform the lives of others. The artists have worked in collaboration with various collectives across Liverpool, a city renowned for transcending insular politics by championing positive change. Check it out here.

Sound City Bar at Pier Head Village

If you’ve not sat with a cold pint and felt the sun on your back down at the Sound City bar at Pier Head Village yet, prepare to fall in love! Open all summer long, you can sit outside on the stunning waterfront and soak up the brilliant atmosphere (and cringe at the brave souls on those scary fairground rides). Plus there’s a whole programme of live music and DJ’s planned too! All the Pier Head Village details are here.

Tuesday 18th July

Caffé Cream, New Brighton serves up Ice-cream and chips….together!

This we’ve got to try! Anyone getting over there before us, send us your pics and thoughts @TheGuideLpool. Mint, choc chip….and salt n vinegar?!
