Jason Donovan is coming to Warrington!

80s heart-throb and star of the stage Jason Donovan has added a date at Parr Hall to his already packed 2016 tour.

The pop star and former Neighbours actor has been enjoying such phenomenal demand for tickets that another show was desperately needed: and he chose Warrington to host!

The 33-date greatest hits tour, which kicked off in the spring, has seen Jason return to his pop roots to celebrate his 1989 five-times-platinum debut album Ten Good Reasons which he is performing in full for the first time.

The Warrington audience is in for a special treat as Jason has chosen Parr Hall as the venue for the last night of the tour on December 21.

10 Good Reasons became the biggest-selling album of 1989 and remains a massive fan favourite, featuring the number one hits Too Many Broken Hearts, Sealed with a Kiss and the unforgettable duet with Kylie Minogue, Especially for You.

Jason Donovan said: “The response to the spring Ten Good Reasons tour was so overwhelming. The audiences seemed to enjoy reliving that particular time in their lives for a short while as much as I did. Music has a wonderful opportunity to put you in a time and place, and trigger an emotional connection that no other creative medium can. Ten Good Reasons was a defining moment for me and my fans and I am delighted we have the opportunity to play the songs all over again in Warrington, and then play a few Christmas favourites at the same time.”

Jason, who has starred in a host of stage plays from The Rocky Horror Show to Joseph, will of course be performing his other greatest hits including Any Dream Will Do, When You Come Back to Me, Nothing Can Divide Us and Happy Together.

He added: “Whether it’s theatre or touring I’ve always placed a high importance on giving my fans a great live show. I’m looking forward to bringing all the pieces together and delivering a show in Warrington that gives personality, some great memories and, most importantly, gives the audience exactly what they want to hear.”

Tickets for this not-to-be-missed show go on sale on Friday 1 July.
