Liverpool ONE Celebrates International Women’s Day

To mark International Women’s Day, Liverpool ONE is aiming to inspire the next generation of successful women across Liverpool.

Today (March 8^th), the retail and leisure destination left hundreds of motivational quotes by the world’s leading women for shoppers to find.

With quotes from 20 inspirational women from across the last 100 years, including Eleanor Roosevelt, Coco Chanel, Oprah Winfrey and Malala Yousafzai, the hope is women who find one of the red cards take motivation and then ‘pass it on’, continuing to spread a message of positivity across the region.

Donna Howitt, marketing director at Liverpool ONE, said: “It is right that in 2018 we recognise and celebrate the incredible achievements of women. We hope to remind people, many who will be on their way in to work or out at lunch that through dedication, you can follow in the footsteps of your heroes and achieve your dreams.”

International Women’s Day takes place on March 8^th and celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the world. 2018 also marks 100 years since the first women were given the right to vote in the UK.
