Local bands help launch new membership offer from Bido Lito!
A cross-section of Liverpool’s music scene will be represented at a special gig at 24 Kitchen Street on 20th April. Strange Collective, Veyu, Farhood, The Shipbuilders and Pixey are all helping Bido Lito! launch their brand new membership offer.
Gig-goers will get a taste of the vibrant variety of genres currently being produced in the city at one of the Liverpool’s key live venues.
Recognised as one of the hardest working live bands on the circuit Strange Collective generate a raucous live show of garage rock infused with blues and psychedelia. While Veyu, who recently released their magnificent Underbelly record, blend widescreen soundtrack atmospherics with Hacienda-indebted disco.
Also on the bill is Iranian-born MC Farhood (pictured above) who raps over leftfield beats provided by DJs Kepla and Ling. The Shipbuilders draw on Liverpool’s rich musical heritage with catchy tunes informed by the likes of The La’s and Captain Beefheart. Opening proceedings is bright talent Pixey who is tipped to be a break-out artist this year. Evol’s Revo will also be dropping tunes in between sets.
The Membership Launch Party serves to show off the wealth of talent coming out of the city and provide a taster of the great cultural smoragasbord which the Bido Lito! membership unlocks.
