Pete Price is on a mission to get round as many Christmas shows as he can. First up – Unity Theatre!
This year we have enlisted Liverpool legend Pete Price to bring us, and you the very best of Merseyside’s Christmas shows & pantomimes. He is on a mission to get round as many as he can before Christmas Eve, and with more festive fun on stage than ever before he has certainly got his work cut out. And as we know with Pricey anything goes, so expect the unexpected!
Plus be listening to his radio programme Tuesday 13th December on Radio City 2 & Radio City Talk as he will be bringing you a panto spectacular.
First up he is at one of Liverpool’s hidden gems, the Unity Theatre off Hope Street to go behind the scenes of Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf which opened last week and runs right the way through until 7th January. The family-friendly Christmas show, perfect for ages 5+ and their families, the show promises to offer the usual fun and laughter with music, dance and song.
Billed as a highly theatrical re-telling of the well-known classic tale packed with music, dance and song.
The production explores the thrill of adventure and unknown versus the safety and familiarity of the path and how irresistible straying can be, as well as the tension between mankind and nature. Are the wolves really the villains in a world where the woodcutter is destroying the forest? And is Grandma the trophy hunter really sick?
Continuing Unity’s successful partnership with acclaimed children’s theatre company Action Transport Theatre, don’t miss this theatrical family festive feast!
Natalia Campbell (Mother/Woodcutter), Simone Lewis (Grandma), Harvey Robinson (Wolf) and Luca Rutherford (Little Red) will all work alongside the creative team to devise Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf as well as performing as part of the ensemble in addition to their main characters.
