Last week Turtle Bay officially launched with a star-studded party that proved the only place to be in the city. The venue was packed with a host of celebrities, VIP guests and city influencers, turning out in force to celebrate a taste of the Caribbean coming to Liverpool’s city centre.
Guests and celebrities arrived at the restaurant’s new venue, located in the former Produce Exchange on Victoria Street, to enjoy a night filled with live music from Troy Ellis & Hail Jamaica and Laid Blak, and plenty of rum, reggae and jerk!
As the newest addition to Liverpool’s food and drink scene, Turtle Bay’s authentic Caribbean-inspired cuisine and extensive cocktail list promises to be a real hit with the city.
Ajith Jayawickrema of Turtle Bay, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome all those that attended last night’s official launch. Liverpool is such a vibrant city, our guests really got into the Caribbean party spirit, which is what Turtle Bay is all about. We’re extremely pleased to have officially opened our doors to the city. We’ve been looking at Liverpool as a destination for some time, it’s an exciting period of growth for the city, especially its vibrant culinary scene. There was no question as to whether or not we would open here, it was about finding the right space. Now that we have, we can’t wait to introduce Liverpool to Turtle Bay’s unique take on Caribbean cuisine.”
