The newest addition to Madame Tussauds Blackpool certainly puts the ‘bang bang’ into a trip to the seaside, as the stunning Ariana Grande joins a host of musical legends immortalised in wax.

Watch as our Jay went to see the pint-sized songstress for himself and found out more about the amazing process of recreating our favourite and most recognised celebs from around the world.

Madame Tussaud’s asked you, the public, who you most wanted to see join the famous faces in Blackpool and unsurprisingly, Ariana Grande came out as number one! With such an impressive line-up of world records and awards, it was only a matter of time before the singing superstar the huge honour of having her very own wax figure created.

The American-Italian beauty is currently the second most followed person on Instagram, with more than 101 million followers, and now that she’s officially on display at Madame Tussauds Blackpool, we’re certain her reach will grow even more.

Matthew Titherington, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to have Ariana’s figure at the attraction. She is such an iconic star, with a phenomenal fan base, and we know fans of Ariana and Madame Tussauds will love seeing her.”

Creating Ariana’s wax figure was an in-depth and thorough process. Did you know a dedicated team of sculptors take over 200 precise measurements and photographs to ensure as accurate a likeness as possible? The figures are created by expert teams of sculptors, moulders, colourists and hair stylists and it can take up to four months to complete a figure costing around £150,000.

Madame Tussauds Blackpool is a seaside treat with something for everyone and it’s not just about musical legends. With three floors packed full of interactive exhibits and phenomenal wax creations, from Barack Obama to Ed Sheeran and The Two Ronnies, there’s a selfie opportunity for everyone!
