Did you get involved in Global Scouse Day?

Jay and Ellie went on a Global Scouse Day tour on Sunday celebrating Liverpool’s favourite and finest dish. The aim of the day  is to keep the dish alive throughout the world and raise money for local charities in the process. This year it reached greater heights than ever before and was trending on social media by 1pm and reached as far as New York, Thailand and Australia.

They started with Scouse tacos at Mexican Street food restaurant Lucha Libre, they met the team from the Maray and Wex who were handing out free Scouse to the homeless and people who needed it. Then it was all about scouse spring rolls at Japanese restaurant Mister Miyagis, followed by scouse pie at CAU on Castle Street and then a traditional bowl of our Maa’s finest at Thomas Rigbys on Dale Street. Along the way they were joined by the Global Scouse Day team and of course stopped on Church Street to help the gang from Maggie Mays hand out free Scouse for donations to R Charity at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
