10 Reasons why you should check out NIGHTGARDEN at Camp & Furnace this and every Friday

Camp & Furnace have brought a whole new concept to the weekend, and once you’ve experienced NIGHTGARDEN, your Friday nights will never be the same.

Grab your mates, get some top-notch scan, and watch as the NIGHTGARDEN creatures come to life, watch as we explored Liverpool’s newest Friday night above.

Here’s 10 reasons why you should be checking out NIGHTGARDEN this and every Friday.

1 – The NIGHTGARDEN concept began with wiping the slate clean. Camp and Furnace has a reputation for producing unique events, and somehow they’ve done it again! NIGHTGARDEN takes the traditional night out right back to basics and is an organic mix of food, drink, performance and design.

2 – IT’S FREE ENTRY! That’s pretty unique in itself as so many club nights as pricing punters out of the market, Camp & Furnace invites you to experience the NIGHTGARDEN every Friday from 6pm. A perfect afterwork hang out.

3 – The Friday night menu is diverse to say the least and frankly, you never know what you’re gonna get! Last Friday we were treated to fully grown Stag, crispy squirrel and partridge all lovingly butchered and cooked to perfection by champion of the North, chef Robert Owen Brown. With Liverpool’s own Steven Burgess and Great British Menu star, Mary Ellen McTague on the line up for the weeks ahead, its a foodie lovers dream experience.

4 – As if having the nation’s top culinary experts preparing your dinner wasn’t enough, you can even have a natter with them too. The court yard kitchen is just one of the field stations set up around the furnace, and chatting to maverick chef, Robert on Friday we learned so much about his passion for foraging and creating unique dishes, its a real social experience.

5 – We worked out that the furthest you have to walk from your table for a perfectly chilled pint is about 30 paces! There’s two main bars and a dedicated wine shack hosted by resident DJ and Sommelier, Adam Speechly, who has the unique talent of recommending the perfect tipple to accompany the tunes. Chilled vibes AND wine!

6 – You’ve been treated to foodie heaven, you’re sipping a chilled glass of white and the atmosphere is buzzing with a stunning soundtrack and conversation…..cue the theatre. NIGHTGARDEN is a fully immersive experience and the live actors are sensational. You’ve seen nothing until a wild fawn pokes its head around the courtyard door and stares at you or a 12 foot tall stag comes skipping towards you.

7 – From chilled out beats programmed to allow for conversation over the long candle-lit tables, to chart classics that has everyone on their feet busting some moves, NIGHTGARDEN is attracting some big name DJ’s including Ibiza legend, Doorly who made his Camp & Furnace debut last week. Even the NIGHTGARDEN creatures love a bit of a dance among the giant botanicals.

8 – The caravan that’s parked up in the main warehouse makes for the best photo-opportunities. We reckon we counted 11 people in there at one point which must be some kind of record…its tiny! Alongside the live performance, so much planning and hard graft goes into physically creating a brand new NIGHTGARDEN space each week. Imagine the instagram pics!

9 – We think the best thing about NIGHTGARDEN is the surprise element. The one-off collaboration of a top chef, an amazing DJ, the unique design and live performance all under one roof for one night a week. We guarantee you’ll be talking about it all week.

10 – Stuffed to the gills, and out of memory space for any more stag selfies, get comfy in front of the roaring log fire, or gather around the big tables in the court yard under the stars where you can unwind til late. No standing room only here, there’s tree stumps for everyone!

Camp & Furnace want you to get involved. If you’re a chef, DJ, performer or designer and think you can bring something to the NIGHTGARDEN. Click here to check out their Facebook page and more info about next Friday’s line-up.
