1 – Football on the Dock
There’s free, hour long drop-in sessions at the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool’s floating pontoon this bank holiday weekend. From Friday 23 – Monday 26, drop in from 11.30am – 4.30pm for football freestyling workshops and skills sessions with Mr Silky Skills. Children must be accompanied. More info here.
2 – Family Fun Day, Greenbank Sports Academy
It’s free entry at the Greenbank Sports Academy Family Fun Day on Saturday from 2pm. Expect giant inflatables, activity bingo, ping tables, live sport and loads more. Info here.
3 – The Wizard of Oz Summer Extravaganza, Otterspool Adventure Centre
There’s a Summer Extravaganza taking place at Otterspool Adventure this bank holiday, with a special performance of The Wizard of Oz from LHK Productions Ltd. Ticket price includes Show and Unlimited Play on all of the amazing attractions for the day! More info and booking here.
4 – Mum & Me Afternoon Tea, Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower

5 – Isla Gladstone 10 year Anniversary Fun Day

6 – Meet Sinda & Bira at Knowsley Safari
Amur Tiger sisters, Sinda & Bira are now fully settled into their new home at Knowsley Safari. What better time to visit and spot their stripes on the foot safari than this bank holiday weekend? 11 – Comics Youth Zine Making, Liverpool ONE
Kids age 8 and up can enjoy a two hour, free session of zine and comic making at Comics Youth on Saturday from 11:30am. Based on Lord Street and funded in part by the Liverpool ONE Foundation, this fully-inclusive, welcoming and super friendly programme is a fab place for kids to hang out and get creative. More here.
12 – Welly Walks at Martin Mere

There’s a whole host of free, family friendly activities happening at the International Slavery Museum on Friday 23rd August. Marking Slavery Remembrance Day, you’re invited to join Paper Moon Print Studio and screen print your own tote bag and watch a thrilling drumming performance, while learning all about Liverpool’s connections with transatlantic slavery.
