Over £23K raised for Cash for Kids at annual Christmas lunch
The fizz was flowing, the snow was falling and the stars were out in force on Friday for the 8th annual Carolyn Hughes PR Christmas Lunch at Gusto on The Albert Dock.
Carolyn Hughes PR hosted the annual Charity Christmas Lunch in aid of Radio City’s Cash for Kids on Friday. The glamorous event is now in it’s 8th year and has become the hottest festive party ticket in town with many of Liverpool’s business leaders and entertainment stars in attendance.
The event was supported by The Christmas Decorators and Jumping Jacks and welcomed singing sensation Rebecca Ferguson, Real Housewives of Cheshire Queen Dawn Ward with husband Ashley, Danielle Lloyd, Emmerdale bad girl Gillian Kearney and Tina Malone. Local designers Philip Armstrong and Tony Burke kicked off their festive celebrations along with stylist to the stars Lorraine McCulloch.
The event was hosted by Radio City’s Peter Price, with Simon Ross helping out with the raffle and the auction. A packed schedule of entertainment saw a DJ and Saxophonist entertaining the guests, before X Factor’s Gary Barker provided a set during lunch. After the raffle and the auction former Britain’s Got Talent star Edward Reid wowed the audience with his unique singing style and a fantastic floor filling set.
Guests had fun with a Christmas Decorators Bauble Wall and Bauble photo frame and enjoyed festive glitter face painting by Jumping Jacks. The event raised £23,000 for Radio City’s Chas for Kids.
Carolyn Hughes, CHPR, said “The annual CHPR charity lunch in aid of Cash for Kids is always a great day. I am grateful for the support of Carole Clare at Cash for Kids, Jumping Jacks, The Christmas Decorators, and everyone who has supported with their attendance or a prize. The funds raised today will help those less fortunate.”
Guests were treated to the Gusto Liverpool Christmas menu which included a turkey dinner with all of the trimmings.
