So the official countdown to Santa’s arrive is on, Advent Calendar windows have been opened across the city and trees have been lit. There is so much happening to get you in the mood for the man with the big beard and big red suit. So we have put together a list of 5 things happening in and around Liverpool to make you feel all festive and cheery.

Santa Land at Calderstones Park

Get the little ones even more excited for Christmas this year with a chance to meet Father Christmas and ride loads of fun fair rides, such a Ferris wheel and even roller coasters as Calderstones Park has been transformed into Santa Land! And let’s face it young or old, we all love a Christmas roller coaster.

The festive event opened on the 28th November however you have plenty of time to get into the Christmas spirit as it’ll running until Sunday 3rd January.

The Coca Cola Truck

Nothing makes you feel more Christmassy than seeing the Coco-Cola advert on TV. The holidays really are coming as the iconic truck will roll into Williamson Square from 12pm to 8pm on Friday 4th December.

Allerton Community and Tesco Christmas light Switch-on


Tesco Allerton and Liverpool City Council have banded together to erect a 26ft Danish Christmas tree at Allerton Library.

The Christmas tree light Switch-On event will be accompanied by mince pies and mulled wine by the nearby Moo steakhouse.

The family friendly big switch-on will begin at 6pm on Tuesday evening accompanied by festive music courtesy of the Friends of Allerton Library Children’s Choir and band.

The German Christmas markets are something we’ve come to know and love every Christmas.

With one-off gift ideas to mulled wine to Nutella pancakes or Frankfurters it has something for everyone.

The market is open from 10am–8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.



Farmer Teds

Farmer Teds, Christmas

Farmer Christmas at Farmer Teds in Ormskirk has opened its doors, and Father Christmas has built a new workshop and grotto for the little ones!

Complete with a tour of the magical Christmas forest which houses some very cute reindeer and even elves!
