Friday 9th October

Blossoms are another band taking the indie world by storm. Extensive play on 6Music has solidified their reputation and they make a welcome return to Liverpool having recently recorded at Parr Street Studios. It feels abit like this may be the last time the band play venues this size before they go arena-size. Support comes from Rory Wynne and Decland McKenna. We met the lads at Sound City back in May, watch the interview below.

A gig with a difference, this one. On this weekend Constellations in the Baltic Triangle will be turned into the setting of everyone’s favourite 90s dinosaur flick, Jurassic Park. An art exhibition featuring some of the region’s best drawers and makers will be launched with a music gig. Sets from the fabulously named Organ Freeman as well as Silent Sleep and Sex Hands will open up this wondrous event. Not to be missed!

Rich Homie Quan at O2 Academy

Tuesday 13th October

Def Jam artist Dequantes Lamar, better known as Rich Homie Quan, comes to the city as part of his first UK tour. Singles Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh) and Type of Way signalled a new name on the rap scene. See this rising star before he gets too big for us.

Swim Deep at O2 Academy

Thursday 15th October

Swim Deep exploded onto the music scene four years ago as part of the B-Town scene, a collection of Birmingham bands who had a penchant for tide dyed clothing and baggy music from the early 90s. Fortunately this was not a fad and Swim Deep are still going strong. See how they have progressed when they make a welcome appearance at the O2.
