6 things you didn’t know about Jack White ahead of his Echo Arena Gig

Former White Stripes frontman brings his solo tour and new album to Liverpool Space by Echo Arena for one night only.

Following huge critical acclaim and success, Jack White and his new touring outfit are performing at Liverpool Space by Echo Arena on Saturday 20th October as part of a 15 show European tour. With Carla Azar on drums, Quincy McCrary, Neal Evans on keys, and Dominic Davis on bass guitar, the band is set to rock Space with Jack’s third solo album Boarding House Reach – which also reached the coveted, US number 1 spot.

NME described it as “totally brilliant… wild, mysterious and unlike anything else around” with Q Magazine adding: “his most eccentric, adventurous and bamboozling album to date”. Jack surprised fans with a glimpse of his electrifying live show in London earlier this year when he also played a free daytime event in the courtyard of the historic George Inn.

Here’s 6 things you didn’t know about Jack White ahead of his Liverpool Space, Echo Arena gig this weekend….

1 – Jack the Lad

We hear on the grapevine and among super fans that Jack’s nicknames are The Third Man and Three Quid!? We’re dying to know how they came about!

2 – World’s First

Did you know that in 2014 Jack White released the world’s fastest record. In an interview he was challenged to write and record a song on camera, and he did…..in ten minutes flat!

3 – A Fixer Upper

Jack had a back up to the music career he was destined for. In 1990 he completed an upholstery apprenticeship and even owned a shop call Third Man Upholstery.

4 – Back to Black

Despite rocking his signature black locks, Jack is actually a natural brunette.

5 – Space Man

While we all go space crazy for Ryan Gosling in ‘First Man’, Jack scored the ultimate coop a number of years ago when he was interviewed by none other than Buzz Aldrin!

6 – Rain Drops Keep Falling on my Head

According to NME’s Jack White: 50 Geeky Things You Never Knew, Jack has microphones in the guttering at his house so he can fall asleep listening to the rain!
