7 Reasons why you need to get your ’40 Years of Disco 2′ tickets, right now!

If like us you love a bit of old school disco, you simply can’t miss 40 Years of Disco 2 at the M & S Bank Arena.

Last March we danced our socks off to the sound of the 70’s as musical legends descended on our rena with the 40 Years of Disco Tour. Whether you remember the iconic ‘Rah Rah Rasputin’, ‘Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel’ or ‘ New York City Girl’ the first time round, or just love a bit of old school, 40 Years of Disco 2 is guaranteed to have you up on your feet when it returns to the city in 2019.

40 Years of Disco

The Liverpool went wild for the stellar line up on Sunday evening which included The Tavares, Odyssey, Boney M, Sister Sledge and more, with each act sounding as pitch perfect as they did back in the day. There was a huge round of applause as Odyssey front man, Steven Cozallo led a ‘Real Thing’ singalong tribute to fellow artist and Scouser Eddy Amoo who sadly passed away earlier this month, a fitting tribute to see so many singing and dancing away in his memory.

If you missed your chance to dance, sing and sway at this years ‘40 Years Of Disco’ tour, hold on to your glitter balls because Tony Denton Promotions has announced the line up for 2019 that once more brings together disco legends for this unique arena concert.

Here’s 7 acts performing at ’40 Years of Disco 2′ at the M & S Bank Arena….

1 – Village People

Oh yes, you read that right. One of THE biggest Disco acts of all time with the classic hits “In The Navy”, “Go West”, “Can’t Stop The Music”, “San Francisco”, “Macho Man” & the worldwide No. 1 anthem “YMCA” which has sold over 12 million copies to date, will be right here in Liverpool for possibly the biggest sing along night ever!

2 – The Trammps

Stay on your feet as The Trammps bring Disco Inferno to the Echo Arena.  ‘Disco Inferno’ has been covered by many major stars including Tina Turner & Cyndi Lauper and in 1977 was the hottest song on the International Disco scene. Along with ‘Hold Back the Night’, we know The Trammps will have you up and belting out the lyrics like it’s ’77 all over again.

3 – The Real Thing

What a homecoming gig this will be as Chris Amoo and Dave Smith get us all up on our feet with a back catalogue of hits that just never get old. You can expect to hear No 1 single, ‘‘You To Me Are Everything’, plus ‘Can’t Get By Without You’, ‘Whenever You Want My Love’ and ‘Can You Feel The Force’. If you needed one more reason to get your ’40 Years of Disco 2’ ticket, this is it.

3 – Imagination Feat. Leee John

Over the past three decades the multi award winning British soul group have brought us such classic hits such as ‘Body Talk’ (ahhhhh what a tune!), ‘Just An illusion’, ‘Music and Lights’, ‘Flashback’ &  ‘In & Out of Love’ which helped secure their power and dominance over the charts.

5 – The Three Degrees

More than three decades on from the beginning of their glittering career, these ladies have retained everything that made them special — their beauty, their sparkling choreography and their precise vocal qualities! Belting out hit after hit including;  “Giving Up, Giving In”, “Woman In Love” & the No. 1 “When Will I See You Again”, we can’t wait to join in.

4 – The Gibson Brothers

Throughout the 70’s The Gibson Brothers dominated the charts and the dance floors and in 1978 released “Cuba/Better Do It Salsa” with a catchy tune that propelled them to Number 1 in several countries, earning them four gold records. You just know there’s going to be a whole load of hip swinging action going on when these guys arrive.

7 – Eruption

In the 70’s Eruption were produced by Frank Farian, who discovered Boney M (who played the Echo Arena on Sunday night and you should’ve seen the crown busting moves to the ‘Rivers of Babylon’). Eruption had two huge hits with “I Can’t Stand The Rain” & “One Way Ticket” and they’ll be bringing the golden age of disco right back to the now in 2019.

Tickets for the 23rd March 2019 gig at the M&S Bank Arena are now on sale and if the packed-out crowd at Sunday’s gig is anything to go by, they’ll sell out fast!  Head this way to get yours.
