7 Super Quick Questions with Local Band The Pynes
In order to find out what makes our favourite Liverpudlians tick we ask them seven insightful questions about their city. We want to know where they go, who they love and their top tips on the best places in Liverpool. This time we spoke to up and coming rockers The Pynes. The Guide predicts big things for The Pynes, who beat off tough competition to be crowned victorious at the Best Of Liverpool competition earlier the year. The five-piece produce catchy anthemic pop rock numbers which are surely destined for arena stages before too long. For now however, Tom (vocals), Jak (guitar), Dan (guitar), Jonathan (bass) and Adam (drums) are happy visiting their favourite eateries and watering holes and worshipping at the altar of a certain bespectacled Beatle. Let’s find out more about The Pynes.
Favourite place in the City?
A great place to go is the Albert Dock. It’s full of restaurants, bars, museums and don’t forget the yellow duck (banana) boat tour! Although one of them sunk a few months ago!
Best place to go for a bite to eat?
Our 2 favourite places are Almost Famous (Parr Street) and Nolita Cantina (Bold Street). The burgers in those places are fantastic!
Person from Merseyside you most admire?
John Lennon. Enough said.
Favourite place to go for a drink?
We all have our individual favourites. Mojo (plays good music), The Ship & Mitre (a great selection of whiskeys and real ales) and the Aloft hotel bar lounge isn’t bad either!
