British Style Collective hosts a super stylish bloggers event at Oh Me Oh My
The nation’s biggest fashion event is coming to town in just a matter of weeks and our Jay went to find out about all things front row at a star-studded gathering earlier this week.
We’ve been talking about British Style Collective, Presented by The Clothes Show all year and its now less than 30 days before this three day, city-wide take over hits our streets. Tickets for the multi-venue extravaganza are flying out as excitement mounts and the list of celeb attendees grows.
First in line on 7th-9th July for the catwalk shows, shopping halls and expert workshops, will no doubt be our fashion-obsessed bloggers, and to ensure they get a real feel for what this brand new event is all about, British Style Collective presenter, Antonia O’Brien invited them to a chic soiree at Oh Me, Oh My, for a sneak peak.
Adorned with more glitter and sparkles than you’d find in scouse prinny’s clutch, Oh Me Oh My welcomed the bloggers, influencers and local press with Liverpool Gin before being treated to festival style face-paint, official sponsor, Alcatel goodies, video edits of catwalks and industry expert talks, plus two very special guests in the form of hairdressing legends, Andrew and Liz Collinge.
A real highlight of the evening came as Antonia hosted a live Q&A with both Andrew and Liz as they performed a live demo for the captivated audience. The list of high profile guests and presenters, including Prof Caryn Franklin, Hilary Alexander, Made in Chelsea star, Jamie Laing and designer, Henry Holland, is getting Liverpool fashion-fans talking.
A suave looking Jay Hynd met up with Kate Stafford, from the British Style Collective team to find out more about just how much you get for your ticket price. When asked what is going to blow us Scousers away, Kate replied: “Definitely the fashion arena that is always a big big big talking point amongst everyone, there’s so many dancers and models plus we have people like Mollie King, Vogue Williams and Kimberley Walsh all presenting in there so it’ll be massive!”
With just one ticket you can gain access to industry expert talks at St Georges Hall, shopping galore at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, workshops at Liverpool One, a jaw-dropping catwalk show at the Alcatel Fashion Arena, vintage fused with contemporary clothing, music and food at Fine Tuned, Albert Dock and much, much more. There’s also a dedicated creative hub heading for The Baltic Triangle, giving our young people an insight into a career in the wolrd of fashion.
Tickets are available at www.britishstylecollective.com and to ensure you get the best seat in the house when the models strut their stuff, you’d better be quick!
We’ll be bringing you updates over the next few weeks and showcasing how our local designers and creative minds are preparing to take part in this huge event! So keep it here.
