It’s British Style Collective Week! Here’s our top scouse Style Kings and Queens
When it comes to trend setting, Liverpool leaves the rest of the country standing so it’s only right we’re hosting the biggest fashion, beauty and style festival in Europe later this week!
We’re expecting the four iconic British Style Collective venues to be teaming with wannabe models, fashionistas as style kings and queens as the three day, city-wide event gets under way on Friday 7th July. One ticket gets you into all four attractions, The Shopping Halls at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, St George’s Hall Catwalk and industry expert talks, Fine Tuned vintage festival at Albert Dock and the phenomenal Alcatel Fashion Arena hosted by our very own Echo Arena. All that with just one ticket! Get yours here.
While we get busy preparing to meet you all and have a natter about what you’ve been buying at the shopping halls, we’ve been having a look at who our biggest scouse style stars are. Who do you take your fashion inspiration from?
Here’s our top ten Scouse Style Kings and Queens…
1 – Rebecca Ferguson
Rebecca is the undisputed queen of the shift dress and she makes this simple yet classic piece look utterly gorgeous, every single time she steps out. Whether it’s nipped in at the waist, skater style or paired with a chic necklace and heels, her signature style is worthy of a matching crown for sure.
2 – Abbey Clancy
3 – Colleen Rooney
The undisputed Scouse fashion Queen, Colleen Rooney has had her style evolution played out in the tabloids since she was a teenager, and what a stunner she is! From lugging all those Cricket bags around in her rollers and velour trackie to catwalking into Aintree for the Grand National wearing the finest couture, Queen Colleen, we salute you!
4 – Steven Gerrard
Sitting upon the Style King is none other than Stevie G, wearer of aviators, polo shirts and of course the infamous red uniform we all know and love him for. Stevie makes the simple white shirt, jeans and leather jacket combo look a million dollars. None of your David Beckham sarong wearing nonsense, proper lads lad!
5 – Liz McClarnon
Liz has rocked some serious noughties fashion throughout her career as a kitten. From body warmers and baggy pants to feisty jumpsuits and stunning red carpet gowns, Liz is a style chameleon who looks as good in ripped jeans and heels as she does glammed up on the red carpet. Atomic Queen!
6 – Marcus Collins
7 – Alex Gerrard
Alexandra Gerrard is another undeniable Scouse Style Queen, her famous blonde locks and long legs have made her the perfect model for so many local and international designers and she can mix it up from denim cut offs at the beach with Stevie and the kids, to full on red carpet glamour.
8 – Daniel Craig
There’s no question that Merseyside’s Bond has been the most suave. King of tailoring, Daniel Craig goes from tuxedos and tech to brogue boots and khaki’s without breaking a sweat, and no one is going to beat the accessories he gets to play with either! Omega watch anyone?
9 – Kim Cattrall
Now we’re not sure we love Kim or Samantha Jones the most but either way, she’s absolutely flying the flag for the fabulous at 50’s! With a knock out figure, infamous blonde locks and a love of wiggle dresses (at last as Samantha) Kim gets the title of Queen of Glam from us.
10 – Lily Savage
And last but not very least, the absolute Queen of all Queen’s, Lily Savage. No one quite represents the scouse love of dressing up, being seen and making a scene than Lily herself. With a vast wardrobe of leopard print, pearls and a permanent curly blow, Lily is the epitome of style. Bow down b*tches!
