Christmas Mischief takes over Liverpool this December!

On Saturday 9th December from midday to 3pmvenues across Liverpool will host FREE Stories with Santa’s Elves events which gives families the opportunity to enjoy stories read aloud at libraries, children’s centres and community venues across the city.

Aimed in particular at children up to the age of 11 years old, there’s no need to book and families can just drop in to the sessions.

So join a couple of silly Elves who have come straight from the North Pole and have brought their favourite stories to share with your little ones. Learn about Elf and Safety and what it’s like to work for Father Christmas.

Silliness, stories and smiles all round; these Elves certainly know how to bring about Christmas cheer!

  11. St Cyril’s Children and Youth Project
  12. St Columba’s Church, Hunts Cross
  13. Kemp’s Bistro, Stanley Park
  14. Tuebrook Children’s Centre
  15. St John’s Church, Rice Lane
  16. St Andrew’s Church, Clubmoor
  17. Croxteth Hall
  18. St Luke’s Church, Princess Drive

Councillor Rachael O’Byrne, Assistant Cabinet Member for Education, who has coordinated the city-wide events said: “During the summer we ran a number of successful Storytime sessions with hundreds of families reading for pleasure. I’m delighted to be working with The Bookworm Players and Local Councillors to do it all again over the festive period, it’s going to be even bigger with Christmas Mischief coming to a venue near you!”

Jessica Buxton from The Bookworm Players said “It is an absolute joy to be able to spread Christmas cheer through reading and play across our city. Huge thanks to the Councillors for helping us bring a little North Pole magic to Liverpool!”
