St George’s Hall presents Christmas Classics in the Concert Room, a festive celebration of song on Thursday 14th December.

Nothing says Christmas like hearing your favourite carols ring out and this Winter you’re in for a real treat. Christmas Classics in the Concert Room, a festive carol performance is lining up four very special shows for those who prefer a more traditional Christmas celebration.

Taking place on Thursday 14th December 2017, Christmas Classics in the Concert Room will see Opera Singer in Residence, Danielle Thomas, the Sing Me Merseyside Choir and Allerton Brass Band take to the stage to perform an array of much-loved songs, from traditional carols such as ‘Hark the Herald’ right through to Christmas number 1’s by S Club 7. All together now…..’Never had dreaaaaamm come truuueeee’.
What’s your favourite Christmas Carol? We’ve been mulling this one over in the office and so far ‘Silent Night’ is winning, and as for Christmas number one’s, who could possibly argue with ‘Last Christmas’ by WHAM?
If you’ve never stepped foot inside the stunning St George’s Hall Concert Room, prepare to be wowed. This magnificent circular room, decorated in cream and gold, features an incredible central chandelier and is truly the perfect venue for a Christmas carol concert. Did you know? Legendary Writer, Charles Dickens gave many readings on the stage at the Concert Rooms.
Tickets for Christmas Classics in the Concert Room are £15 for adults, £10 for under 16’s including a mince pie and glass of mulled wine on arrival to get you into the festive spirit. There are two performances, at 2pm and 8pm, perfect to introduce your little ones to the old classics and maybe even take your mum or your nan for an afternoon singalong. Don’t forget to check out the Christmas Market, outside on St George’s Plateau to pick up some stocking filler treats while you’re there.
