We’re back at Exhibition Centre Liverpool for day two of Comic Con Liverpool 2019.
Fans were queueing around the Exhibition Centre, Kings Dock from early on Saturday morning as Comic Con Liverpool threw open its doors for a second day of all things film, TV, comic books, cosplay, shopping, celebrity and more.
Our Jay and Kate are back on The Guide Liverpool sofas, surrounded by some of the most amazing cosplay costumes, props, sets and of course, famous faces. This is all the action from day two of Comic Con Liverpool 2019.
We met a real life hero today. Meet three year old Harry and his dad John. Harry had heart surgery at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital just ten days ago and despite the severity of the operation, little Harry was determined to attend Comic Con Liverpool, dressed as mini Thor, to see all his favourite characters. Harry’s Dad, John praised the real life superheroes, the staff at Alder Hey for the amazing work they do every single day.
The real Lois Lane, actress Teri Hatcher is in town this weekend alongside her Clark Kent & Superman, actor Dean Cain. Watch above as our Jay caught up with her to find out why she chose Comic Con Liverpool as her first comic convention in Europe!
Did you know that Liverpool illustrator and comic book creator, Tim Quinn used to work for Marvel? He’s now joined forces with the Liverpool Lions to produce a brand new comic to raise funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Watch above as Kate finds out more about the team of world class Marvel and DC illustrators who have come together for this great cause.
We’ve been on a bit of a shopping spree at Comic Con Liverpool. From Lego figures to incredible, original artwork, pin badges, t shirts, comics, props and loads more, a mooch around the market stalls is a must! From stormtroopers to a genuine love of scouse, this is the second part of our Jay’s chat with Teri Hatcher and it’s a must-see!
Comic Con Liverpool is nothing without its dedicated cosplayers. Kate is out and about in the crowds at Exhibition Centre to find her faves. Keep an eye out for Jonny and little Bongo, Dan’s Stag Do, The Incredibles, a Corpse Bride (and Groom) and more. Don’t forget to send us your best cosplay pics @TheGuideLpool.
