Creamfields turns 20: Here’s 20 things you must do at this weekend’s festival

The festival of the summer has officially begun and it’s going to be an incredible weekend.

Celebrating it’s 20th anniversary, Creamfields 2017 has gone all out with a world class line-up, amazing festival site and top notch facilities for all you faithful ravers. Whether it’s your first time, or you’ve been every year since ’97, you’re in for one hell of a ride. You’ve bought your wellies, you’ve sorted your travel, all that’s left to do, it get right on it!

Here’s our handy guide to having the best weekend of your life at Creamfields 2017….

1 – First up, get your festival prep sorted before you even leave the house. Hunters on, Creamfields and shuttle bus tickets in your safest pocket and don’t be ashamed of a bit of poncho love!

2 – DO NOT MISS Deadmau5! The man with the big ears is back and playing not one, but two sets at Creamfields this weekend. Catch him Friday with Eric Prydz and headlining the Horizon stage on Saturday.

3 – Also playing Saturday you have to experience dance TITANS, Axwell & Ingrosso on the ARC stage. Get your phones ready to Insta story that set for deffo.

3 – Creamfields is going old school this year with a nod back to the glory days of Nation. For the first time ever the Cream main room is being recreated on the festival site. Gotta love a bit of nostalgia.

4 – Ready for this girls? Pamper Street Collective returns to Creamfields 2017 so you can get glam, get more glam or switch up your looks in between sets, throughout the entire weekend. Is there such as thing as too much glitter?

5 – Hang on! Pamper Street isn’t just for the girls! Lads can get a trim, a bit of beard jewellery or go mad with the neon stripes too! And if you’re in your element, get your shirt off and glitter up! Instant chic magnet.

6 – The artist of 2017, Stormzy plays the JAMPACKED stage on Saturday, so start getting your rhymes in check and shout it loud…shut up!

7 – The BBC Radio One stage hosts The Chainsmokers on Friday and what a year these lads have had! Grammy award nominations and allll the number ones, we reckon this set will be one to remember.

8 – You have to experience the mega Creamfields Steel Yard structure! After it debuted on the docks last year, this colossal super club, construction mash up has to be seen to be believed!

9 – Festival tip! Make a beeline for the Charge Candy girls for some much needed juice because there’s no way your phone is making it til 4am on one charge!

10 – While you’re there get a bit of fuel in you as well. It’s well known that festival food is usually the pits but Creamfields has pulled out all the stops. From pizza to Asian street food and even one of your five a day with an onsite juicer!

11 – A DJ set fit ‘For an Angel’. Get fired up to hear two Creamfields veterans, Paul Van Dyk and Fat Boy Slim hit the decks at the Pepsi Max Arena on Sunday.

12 – Get a HUGE pop fix and sing along to your fave artists like Sigala, Jax Jones and Gorgon City, who we saw smash it at LIMF just a few weeks ago. Ready for your looooovveeeee!

13 – Absolutely MUST SEE, check out dance legend, Tiesto as he headlines the ARC stage on Sunday. We all remember his famous Echo Arena that went on til 4am…..this is what bank holiday Sundays are made of!

14 – Don’t forget to check out our phenomenal local talent too. Anton Powers, Andy Mac, Camelphat, Yousef and Son of 8, all play across the weekend. Sound!

15 – If you go to Creamfields and don’t down a can of cider and go on the fairground, you’re missing out on the best trippy Instagram story opportunity EVER! Do it for the Monday laughs.

16 – Festival tip! Girls and lads with long hair, get on the space buns trend and don’t waste anytime worrying what state your hair is in throughout the whole weekend. Hit the Pamper Street Collective for extra glitter down your part too!

13 – BBC Introducing is lining up the best new talent around, get over to their stage and prepare to fall in love with your next favourite dance legend.

14 – Speaking of legends, are you ready for this? Creamfields welcomes back none other than Faithless, the biggest of festival hitters, and believe us when we say, you wont ever forget hearing ‘Insomnia’ blare out over the site on Sunday. Get to the Horizon stage for this.

15 – Met the girls or lad of your dreams? Scare the sh*t out of your mates and family and head to the Creamfields inflatable church for a fake wedding! Previous disciples include Kelly Osbourne, Warwick Davies and Jake Shears! Amen to that.

16 – Festival Tip! Last entry is 9pm across all four days and its an 11pm finish apart from Saturday which is 4am. Don’t be a divvy and miss all the action.

17 – There’s new security measures in place this year to ensure you’re kept safe. Only take what you need, be prepared to be searched at any point and expect a queue on entry. Bottom line is, be sensible and have a ball!

18 – Party on after the festival, book your Delta or shuttle bus back to town and head to an array of amazing Liverpool Bank Holiday parties. Chibuku, Circo, Insomnia at Hangar 34 and lots more. Your full weekend guide is below.

19 – It’s all gone Pete Tong! Yes the dance legend once again got his own stage on the Saturday of the festival. The main man will host proceedings with his picks of his favourite dance music superstars.

20 – Our final Creamfields 2017 must do is just RAVE YOUR SOCKS OFF, enjoy and if you can’t be good, be careful.
