Your Essential LIMF 2017 Bucket List – how many will you tick off?

The countdown for the biggest music party in the park is on as LIMF 2017 is just a matter of days away.

We’re on the cusp of one incredible weekend of music, entertainment, family fun and more as LIMF 2017 returns to Sefton Park. With so much to see and do we’ve lined up this handy bucket list to make sure you get the very best from your LIMF experience.

Here’s your Essential LIMF 2017 Bucket list…..

1 – Let the Good Times roll! Kick off LIMF 2017 at the Palm House launch with a big dose of 70’s and 80’s funk with Norman Jay MBE. More info this way.

2 – You’ve 21 seconds to remember the rest of these iconic So Solid Crew lyrics before the world premier of Garage Classical takes over the central stage on Friday night. Spit ‘dem lyrics like a champ!

3 – Go VIP and gain access to the brand new private bar, boss chill out areas and deluxe toilets, all for £13.20. Tix here.

4 – Take the kids for a mini rave at The Club House with a playlist from the British Music Experience, just watch out for those big-headed bouncers!

5 – Get ready to nail your Insta-story in the crowd when Fleur East belts out ‘Play that Sax’on Central Stage.

6 – Get your old skool 90’s RNB fix at LIMF Presents Reminisce with none other than Trevor Nelson.

7 – Stick a blanket down on the hill and catch Nick Ellis performing ‘In The Park’ at the Bandstand.

8-  Don’t miss Naughty Boy tearing up the Central Stage and sing-along to the biggest summer hits, la la la la la!

9 – You can’t get more scouse than watching The Farm perform on the It’s Liverpool Stage in Sefton Park. Be there Friday evening!

10- Prepare to LIMF and chill and check out new music as Gazelle croons her mellow jazzy tones at the LIMF Academy stage.

11 – While you’re over that way, get your mates together and let loose at the Silent Disco. Facebook fame beckons for the best/worst dance moves.

12 – OMG! If you’re into your Hip Hop you cannot miss LIMF Presents No Sleep featuring Slick Rick and DJ Red Dead Alert on Sunday from 7. Tickets here.

13- Travelling to LIMF by train? Check out the Merseyrail Sound Stage at St Michaels Station and have a little warm up dance to Kallo, 50ft Warrior and Joseph Mott.

14 – Line up some friendly competition at the Family Zone and let the dads show off at human sized Hungry Hippos and Guess Who. Losers buy the ice cream.

15 – Meet up with mates, bump into your aunties and end up buying all your little cousins tokens for the fair. Happens every year, without fail.

16 – Mix up your weekend gym session and bust some moves at the DJ tent as MJ Cole, Tieks, Diztortion and Siobhan Bell plus many more hit the decks all weekend long.

17 – It wouldn’t be a proper festival without a bit of face paint would it? The Family Zone is the place to get a sparkly make over. (lads, this includes you)

18 – Swerve your Sunday roast for a picnic in the park with a soundtrack by none other than the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra! They are celebrating the Summer of Love live on stage.

19 –  Be ready to throw your hands up when the beat to drops as LIMF 2017 headliners, Gorgon City smash the Summer Jam stage on Saturday night.

20 – Get into the festival spirit with a few bevs on the field with your mates. Pick a spot with a decent view of the stage and a short walk to the bar for a weekend of free entertainment.

21 – There’s tonnes of sand and buckets and spades to play with at the Family Zone big beach. Make like you’re in Alicante and get busy building a fort.

22 – Prepare to belt out Corrine Bailey Rae‘s new track, ‘The Skies Will Break’ and of course THE CLASSIC ‘Put Your Records On’ as the soulful songbird takes to the Summer Jam Central Stage on Sunday.

23 – Celebrate the summer of 2002 as LIMF Presents Circus Year One with a special line up curated by none other than Yousef. If you’re a clubber, this will be your LIMF 2017 highlight. More info here.

24 – He writes from the heart and sings from the soul, don’t miss one of Liverpool’s most talented young musicians, Louis Berry as he takes to the central stage with his guitar on Sunday.

25 – Support your local up comers with the likes of GIT Award winners She Drew The Gun, Sugarmen, Vryll Society, XamVolo, Halem, Paris Youth Foundation, Eleanor Nelly & Astles all playing live.

26 – Experience a world first whilst also getting retro as Garage Classical blows your mind on Friday night bringing Sweet Female Attitude, Kele Le Roc, Master of Ceremonies, Lonyo & MJ Cole to the Central Stage.

27 – Belt out ‘Alright’, ‘Walkaway’ & ‘Fine Time’ at the top of your lungs on Sunday evening – you surely aren’t a scouser if you don’t adore Cast?

28 – Keep your eye out for the Brouhaha Parade – and grab  a selfie with the colourful procession behind you!

29 – Sing ‘Perfect Strangers’ to your other half (or your bessie mate if your single) when JP Cooper performs it live on Sunday, Central Stage.

30 – Watch all the action as it happens, throughout the weekend, on your phone, on your laptop or on the telly as we bring you LIMF TV on The Guide Liverpool
