Family Days out are cheaper than you think this Summer with Merseyrail

Summer holiday fun is closer and more affordable than ever with the Merseyrail Family Ticket.

A Family Ticket can be used for a family of up to 5 for just £11 and covers 1 or 2 adults travelling with children aged 5-15. Enjoy unlimited travel (excluding peak hours 6:31am – 9:29am Monday to Friday) including on weekends and Bank Holidays, so you can hop on and off at all your favourite destinations.

You can buy your Family Ticket in advance online or from your nearest Merseyrail station. It’s valid on the Northern and Wirral Merseyrail lines and on Northern Rail on the City Line.

1 – Chester Zoo

There’s a world of creepy crawlies, winged wonders and magnificent beasts to explore at Chester Zoo this summer and you can get there with Merseyrail. A day at the seaside is a traditional summer treat we all love and Merseyrail can take you from the city to the beach in just 45 minutes. Grab your buckets and spades and change for the fair and head to Southport this summer. Stop in at The Atkinson for free cultural activities or all ages and don’t forget to wander the prom with an ice cream before heading home.

4 – New Brighton

See the city from a different view with a family day out at New Brighton. There are toilet facilities and two cafes to grab ice creams and cold drinks and near by Lake Lane is bursting with child friendly restaurants too.
