Footy, Fixtures and a Legend or three! It’s the Liverpool Sports Guide
Your Weekly Guide to Sports in Liverpool 21st November – 27th November.
By Jacob Routledge
This weeks Sport Guide is bursting with footy news and fixtures from both sides of the Mersey, that may just save you from the drama of Christmas shopping!
Liverpool FC vs Sunderland FC – Saturday, 26 November 15:00 (Premier League Week 13)
Jurgen Klopp’s men will be hoping to get back to winning ways against ex Everton manger David Moyes’ lowly sitting Sunderland side in Week 13 of PL fixtures. The Reds had to settle for just a point after being held to a 0-0 draw last weekend against Southampton. If Liverpool want to be considered as serious title contenders, this is a must win!
Southampton FC vs Everton FC – Sunday, 27 November 16:30 (Premier League Week 13)
Meanwhile, the Blues from across the park face the trip down to St Mary’s, probably following the exact route Liverpool had only a week before. So far this season the Blues have struggled with consistency, with them only being able to pick up a point from Swansea at home the weekend gone. Ronald Koeman is surely aware of such issues and will be looking to make a statement of intent at Saints on Sunday.
Two Big Games for Tranmere this Week!
Tranmere face a trip to Forrest Green on Tuesday Night in the Conference, with them also facing Torquay at home on Saturday at 15:00. Maybe you are over at Chesire Oaks this coming weekend and might fancy a hour or two away from the madness? Check out the Rovers website for details on tickets here.
There’s also loads of non-league footy going on this week, check out our guide to teams across the region here and go check out the local talent!
An Evening With Two LFC Legends Joey Jones and Phil Neal. Hosted by James Pearce
A good night looks set to be coming to L18 this Friday, as Liverpool Legends Joey Jones and Phil Neal will be joining Liverpool Echo’s James Pearce in a charity night at the Connie Club. All money raised will be going towards providing Christmas meals for those who can’t afford them. Tickets are £20, this includes a hot scran.
