Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick tells us about his new BBC show White Gold

We all remember just how cool Chuck Bass was on the huge American TV show Gossip Girl, well now Ed Westwick, the man behind the Bass is back home in the UK and ready to launch his newest programme.

Ed is in Liverpool with White Gold writer & creator Damon Beesley for the BBC Worldwide Showcase at our ACC Liverpool in which TV buyers from all over the globe have descended on the city to choose their next television hits.

White Gold, an original six-part comedy series written and directed by the award-winning Damon Beesley who was also behind the The Inbetweeners series and movies.

White Gold will also star Joe Thomas (The Inbetweeners, Fresh Meat), James Buckley (The Inbetweeners, Rock & Chips) and Lauren O’Rourke (Drifters, This Is England 90).

It tells the story of a double-glazing showroom in Essex in 1983, led by charismatic salesman Vincent (Ed Westwick). Smart, handsome and cocksure, Vincent will happily break the rules if it guarantees a sale. It’s a story of dodgy shenanigans, scams and petty rivalries – alongside free-flowing drugs, cash and sex.

The series is looking to hit are screens in Spring of this year, bring it on!
