Grand National: Gemma meets race goers in the Red Rum Garden to find out what they love most about Aintree

It’s blue skies and bubbly at Aintree Racecourse this afternoon as the atmosphere continues to build ahead of the big race.

Our Gemma is back out amongst the crowds, soaking up the atmosphere (and the gin and bubbles) in and around the Red Rum Garden as punters from near and far gear up for The Randox Health Grand National race.

Kicking off at 5:15pm, the world will be watching as the greatest horse race on earth draws crowds of 600 million to their screens. The sun has shone all day on the 70,000 strong crowd at Aintree and we want to know how you choose your winning horse?

Impressive hats, vintage jewellery and even an orange suit! Couples, friends, families, stag do’s, birthdays, baby showers and more, have made Aintree their preferred way to celebrate this weekend and what a day to do it!

You can catch up on all the Grand National action so far here, including all the action from the Ladies Day Style Award, we meet the winner and Pete goes on a fashion parade.

Keep it locked to @TheGuideLpool on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all the Grand National fashion, interviews and Red Rum Garden action as it happens and don’t forget to tag us in your photos and videos for a share.
