Your Guide Liverpool for the week ahead (19th-25th June 2017)

After a phenomenal weekend spent in the city parks and waterfront enjoying the sun, we’ve lined up even more open air dining, drinks and fun.

There’s a tonne of comedy, quizzes, food and waterfront fun to be had this week as Your Guide Liverpool checks out Mersey River celebrations along with Armed Forces Day and Africa Oye parties continue on throughout the week. Monday 19th June

Breakfast on the cobbles at The Quarter, Falkner Street

With the good weather set to last this week, Your Guide Liverpool thinks you should treat yourself to a leisurely breakfast, so how about tucking in while pouring over the papers in the sunshine at The Quarter, Falkner Street? Monday Date night at Woolton Picture House

Film Guide 2017

We’re going old school this Monday night and treating our better half to a blockbuster in the suburbs. Woolton Picture House is showing all the new releases, The Mummy, War of the Planet of the Apes, Wonder Woman and a couple of family friendly films too. Tuesday 20th June

A bite-size Brazilian lunch at Fazenda, Exchange Flags

Fazenda, Exchange Flags has recently launched its small plates, or Petiscos menu offering diners a taste of brazil to enjoy on the outdoor terrace. These smaller, tapas style dishes are perfect for sharing and would be a perfect lunch stop right in the heart of the business district. Check out the menu here.

Dr Who Quiz Night at The Merchant, Slater Street

Your Guide Liverpool loves big laughs and Wednesday nights just got hilarious at the Hot Water Comedy Club, Seel Street as the ‘As Seen on Screen’ nights go from strength to strength. Saturday 24th June

Armed Forces Day 2017

Liverpool city centre will be awash with more than 1000 servicemen and women this Saturday as the UK celebrates Armed Forces Day 2017. A parade from St Georges Hall will start the festivities which will see city landmarks lit up in blue, red and white plus a whole hive of activity on the waterfront from 11-5pm. Mersey River Festival 2017 24-25th June

There’s a host of events taking place across Liverpool Waterfront for the Mersey River Festival this weekend including a variety of music stages, pop-up street theatre, tall ships and children’s activities! Watch the highlights from last year above and click here to check out the official website.

Rather Large 90’s Quiz at HUS, Tithebarn Street

A McQueen Debut at British Style Collective

Hardcore fashion fans will be flocking to buy tickets for the upcoming British Style Collective as it’s revealed a McQueen debut collection will show at St George’s Hall as part of the three day, city wide take over on 7-9th July 2017. Nephew of the late Lee Alexander McQueen, designer Gary James McQueen will showcase a made to order collection of silk scarves in an artistic installation.
