Homeless Liverpool 05: What comes next?
All week long we have been bringing you an insiders look into homelessness in Liverpool with the incredible team from the Paper Cup Project, how bad is the problem? What is being done to help? We have hopefully dispelled the myths and given you an insight into what life is really like living on the streets of Liverpool.
Michelle Langan who is founder of the Paper Cup Project has also been bringing you daily blogs on the issue, you can read today’s below.
When I first started The Papercup Project over a year ago, my dream was to make a real difference to the lives of people sleeping on our streets. I did lots of research on how other countries had tackled homelessness successfully, and found an obvious solution – houses!
The aim for the future of our team, is to help as many people as we can back into homes. Everyone deserves to have a roof over their heads. Everyone deserves to have their own front door. The Papercup Project is in the process of setting up as a charity, and hopefully this means that our team can do more in Liverpool. Everyone deserves help, and if we all do a little bit, we can make a lot of difference. Homeless doesn’t mean worthless.
Thanks for following our team!
