LIMF 2019: This is why the LIMF 2019 artists love the festival as much as the crowds

Grace Carter, SG Lewis and Bobbito Garcia tell us what LIMF 2019 has such an amazing buzz.

We’re into the closing stages of another amazing Liverpool International Music Festival and the artists and bands have loved it as much as we have. Watch above as Central stage acts, Grace Carter, SG Lewis and Bobbito Garcia tell us what makes LIMF so special.

Earlier in the day festival goes were treated to brand-new material from Liverpool’s own Sub Blue and Deliah while NAO rocked the Central Stage giving out white roses and all the love to the crowds. Samm Henshaw had the Central Stage crowd clapping along with summer hit Church while Grace Carter knocked our socks off with her incredible voice and lyrics.

PizzaGirl wins the LIMF Academy Jan McNicholl Award

Liverpool based artist PizzaGirl picked up the annual LIMF Academy Jan McNicholl Award for showing the most potential – we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2019 has in store for him. We also had a special appearance from Liverpool Boxer Tony Bellew and his son Carter who joined our Jay on stage ahead of an amazing set from De La Soul. When we say the crowds were jumping, we mean jumping!

The countdown is now on for Disco Classical with special guest Sister Sledge, featuring Kathy Sledge! Get your dancing shoes on and get ready to hit the high notes and we’ll see you down the front!

To look back at all the highlights, including interviews with Nile Rodgers, spot yourself in the crowds and loads more from LIMF 2019 so far, head this way.
