LIMF TV: 8 Things your kids will love about the family zone at LIMF 2017
We’re counting down the days until LIMF 2017 returns to Sefton Park on 20th-23rd July and there’s more to check out than just the music.
Prepare for a belting, free family day out this July as LIMF 2017 brings a whole parks worth of fun entertainment, live music and games for all the family. If you’re looking for a great, free day out full of noise, colour, food and fun times, look no further than the LIMF Family Zone. Just a stones throw from the LIMF Summer Jam central stage, the kids can bust some moves while making sandcastles, having their faces painted and generally have a ball all weekend long.
Here’s our top 8 highlights that you (and your little dudes) won’t want to miss!
1 – The Club House
One of our fave experiences of LIMF 2016, The Club House returns this year with a whole new soundtrack. Join the queue, impress the bouncers with your moves and head inside this kid friendly club to rock out to the Summer of Love sounds.
2 – Craft Workshops
Okay so we’re maybe a bit too old to be dancing around in tutu’s, masks and headdresses, but the little ones can embrace their inner fairy or super hero and create some weird and wonderful costumes and accessories to take home.
3 – The Gamezone
Pitch against your mates, or even your mum and dad and take on human sized traditional games such as Hungry Hippos, Fuseball and Guess Who. Loser buys the hotdogs!
4 – Buckets and Spades at the ready!
We’re delighted to hear the huge beach is also returning to the LIMF Family Zone this year, and its gotten even bigger! With tonnes of sand, buckets, spades and tools, the kids can build and play until their little hearts are content. Mums and Dads can grab a deck chair and chill!
5 – ColourScape
Colourscape is a really special addition to the LIMF Family Zone. This giant inflatable structure incpororates music, dance and colours and invites your little ones to explore with all their senses.
6 – Face-Painting
Now come on, it wouldn’t be LIMF without a whole load of face-paint. From princesses and superheroes to flowers, Disney characters and the odd neon pattern, we know there will be a few older festival goers waiting their turn to be transformed alongside the kids.
7 – Roaming Park Performers
One thing we really love about LIMF is the photo-opportunities and with roaming park performers popping up to photo-bomb you, with bouncers, sprites and rockers having a dance and generally get up to mischief, you’re bound to go home with some brilliant pictures.
8 – Story Time
For the teeny ones, or those a bit worn out after all the beach fun, why not head over to the story tent and settle down in the comfy cushions to hear tales of far off places, princes and princesses and great adventures. A great little chill out if the sun gets a bit too hot too!
