12 things you need to experience this week in Liverpool
A new week is upon on us and the good thing for you is that you are more than likely spending it in the greatest city in the world, Liverpool.
Jay here to give you a little heads up on what you should be getting up to, eating, drinking and experiencing this week on Merseyside.
Mic Lowry – MOOD
We’ve called them our ‘one to watch’ for far too long. They have now outgrown that phrase and are now, in our opinion, up there. This new EP proves it. Download via Apple Music here.
Winter Warmers at Lock & Key, Duke Street
The Crimbo coffees are out in force and Insta is full of them, but how about a proper winter warmer? We are talking Hot G&T or even a Hot London Cup complete with apple juice, assorted spices and vanilla. Yes please! Lock & Key have got you sorted.
Scouse Pie at George’s Kitchen
Brand new venue on the block George’s Kitchen serves up good old fashioned English grub, simple food made well, with their famous fish and chips, scampi, steak and more. For me the Scouse Pie is the winner, even with the cheese topping! Chips are cooked to perfection too, just like your Nans. More here.
Three huge nights inside the massive Creamfields Steel Yard structure on our waterfront coming your way. A night with Armin Van Buuren and his mates, Cream Classical with Faithless or dance superstar Martin Garrix & co. Choice is yours! I went last year and you will be amazed by the scale of it. Roxy Ball Room
Perfect place for some after work or weekend fun with your mates. Get competitive with an array of bar games including beer pong, table tennis & more. Whilst enjoying drinks from their super cool and massive bevy menu. More info and Christmas packages here.

War Horse, Liverpool Empire
It’s said to be one of the most spectacular stage productions of all time with many calling it a master piece. The movie was incredible and the stage version arrives at the Liverpool Empire next Wednesday and runs right the way through until Saturday 2nd December. I am going next Friday and can’t wait to see what’s in store. Book your tickets here before it is too late.
Liverpool ONE Christmas Lights Switch On
The official countdown to Santa’s arrival starts at Liverpool ONE with their big lights switch on. This year we have been working closely with the L1 team and will be bringing you all of the coverage as it happens. Seeing the amount of effort and hard work that goes into it has been an eye opener and I’m sure it will all pay off to give the city the most magical Christmas launch of all time. Fun starts at 4pm this Thursday, get your spec and don’t forget your Santa hat. More info here.
