Lock & Key Bar Kitchen Hotel celebrates its 1st Birthday with giveaways, cocktails & free pizza

Duke Street’s chicest venue lines up a week-long celebration.

Lock & Key Bar Kitchen Hotel threw open it’s doors just a year ago and in that short time has cemented itself as the jewel in the Duke Street crown. The intimate, stylish bar continues to serve up top notch brunch, Sunday lunch, ales, cocktails and live entertainment which has gained 5 star Facebook reviews and there’s plans afoot for even more.

Lock Key

Saturday 22nd September 2018 will see the venue unveil its latest addition, a brand new pizza oven. Alongside an evening of entertainment including a live DJ and Russian infused gypsy jazz from The Bodacious Balaika Band, Sean and the team will be dishing out free slices and heavenly cocktails from a brand new, birthday menu from Four Roses and Sipsmith. But that’s not all, there’s also exciting giveaways in the days leading up to the bash and on the night itself.

Lock & Key General Manager Sean said: “Although we have been here a year we are still learning so much everyday and know we still have so much more to offer as a venue. It’s so important to not stand still, you have to be looking on ways you can move forward and improve every single day.

In year 2, other than the launch of our boutique hotel, pizza & pasta menu we’ll continue to try and establish ourselves as one of the cities best venues to eat, drink & listen to live music.”

Proving its commitment to offering customers something new, Lock & Key is now serving Higsons Pilsner, brewed just a few minutes away in the Baltic Triangle, on tap and continues to offer great value for money with 2 for £10 G&T’s, Monday to Thursday. The perfect way to unwind after work.

The soundtrack to an evening at Lock & Key ranges from thoroughly chilled to lively and loud as every weekend the venue plays host to some of the city’s finest talent, including ‘The Baltic Sessions’ which brings an acoustic vibe you have to hear to believe. You can also support a very worthy, local charity while you dine, drink and relax at Lock & Key. Following on from its central theme, you can now buy your own Love Lock, personalise it and hang it with pride at the bar, with 100% of the proceeds going to Alder Hey Children’s Charity. We’ll say cheers to that!

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to tuck into a delicious brunch with the girls, a impressive date night venue or a place to toe-tap your Sunday evening away, Lock & Key Bar Kitchen Hotel can tick all the boxes. Keep your eyes peeled for a refreshed autumn brunch and drinks menu, plus a new jazz evening coming later this month!
