Lock & Key Hotel, Bar and Kitchen opens phase one of its stunning development on Duke Street

Do you have the key? Because we’ve got a secret, Lock & Key, Duke Street is now open for business.

Prepare to make Duke Street your new favourite hang-out as stunning new boutique hotel, bar & kitchen, Lock & Key has thrown open its doors in Liverpool. If you’re a fan of decadent settings, sweeping staircases, original décor with modern, quirky twists, plus sumptuous menus designed by local chefs, craft beers and themed cocktails, you’re going to love Lock & Key.

The boutique hotel, bar and kitchen is a brand new venture for Liverpool Developers Andrew Spencer, Tom Bower and Michael Connolly and has revitalised the abandoned Grade II listed 15-17 Duke Street Property. Having stood empty or over a decade, the team have worked hard to convert the building while retaining lots of the original features, including the original, distinctive Georgian shop front windows.

Now open for the business, the bar and kitchen aspects of the development offers guests a tranquil and elegant atmosphere with stripped back, exposed brick walls complimented with contemporary furniture from Lea Sloane, House of Sloane.

Lock & Key

The newest name to join the every growing Duke Street social scene is open from 8am-12am daily and offers a breakfast and lunch menu designed by local chef Jen Peers, until 5pm leading onto gourmet bar snacks available throughout the evening. Maintaining its dedication to local suppliers and producers, coffee and cakes from Neighbourhood Coffee and Midnight Delivery are also available throughout the day.

The all important bar will no doubt become a great hot spot for those who appreciate a sophisticated night out, is managed by Sean Connolly and offers an array of craft beers, wines and a special “Lock & Key” themed cocktail menu. We can’t wait to get tasting and Instagramming these!

Phase two of the development comes in the form of The Hotel, which will be open for business towards the end of the year. With 14 stunning, boutique hotel rooms, 24 hour concierge, and the perfect location, just moments away from the heart of Liverpool One, each room will be designed to a high end, stylish finish with quirky extras including cocktail trolleys and the option to personalise your mini bar!
