Look at the size of the golden cocktail Viva Brazil have created for £115M EuroMillions prize
This Friday’s (21 September) EuroMillions has an estimated £115M super jackpot up for grabs. If won by a single ticket-holder the whopping jackpot would create the UK’s fourth biggest ever National Lottery winner and Viva Brazil have created a whopper of a cocktail to celebrate.
According to The Sunday Times Rich List 2018, if one winner scooped the entire £115M jackpot they would be richer than the combined fortunes of One Direction’s Harry Styles (£50M) and Harry Potter’s Emma Watson (£50M). They would have a fortune to match one of Europe’s big sporting names who is set to star in next week’s Ryder Cup, Rory McIlroy (£110M).
Players are urged to get their tickets earlier than normal and avoid any last minute rush, to be in with a chance of winning this colossal jackpot. Tickets need to be bought before 7.30pm on Friday (21 September).
Andy Carter, The National Lottery’s Senior Winners’ Adviser said, “Imagine becoming one of Britain’s biggest winners ever. With that giant cheque you’d have more than enough to change the lives of the people close to you and spend your days travelling the globe.
“EuroMillions players help raise the £30M plus that The National Lottery gives to Good Causes each and every week. This supports projects big and small across the country, including funding everything from local community projects to saving the nation’s heritage.”
Liverpool restaurant and bar, Viva Brazil, has been gearing up for the big draw by creating a bespoke golden cocktail, perfect for newly-made millionaires to enjoy.
Created with dark rum, prosecco and cachaça and topped with caramel and roasted pineapple chunks, the cocktail has a golden shimmer which exudes luxury. The cocktail, called ‘Ouro Milãho’ which means ‘Gold Million’, is available for a limited time only at the restaurant.
Cristian Rodriguez, Manager of Viva Brazil Liverpool, said: “This is such an exciting time for the whole of the country – an estimated jackpot of £115M is incredible – just think of how amazing this would be – and at the same time how many people you could help if you won this amazing sum of money.
“There has certainly been lots of excitement in the bar today and lots of chatter around this huge draw. We will certainly all be buying our tickets in Liverpool and hopefully it will be someone in the city who is made a multi-millionaire on Friday.”
Ben Woods, who scooped £2.4M on Lotto in February, 2004, is one of Liverpool’s lucky individuals to have won on The National Lottery.
He added, “Winning the lottery is the most amazing feeling ever – if it can happen to me it can happen to anyone.
“This is an incredible sum of money – we have already bought our tickets for Friday – and I would urge everyone else to buy a ticket. You have to be in it to win it and what a difference this huge amount of money could make to so many people’s lives.”
There have been five EuroMillions jackpots land in the UK in the past 12 months. Only in July, Fred and Lesley Higgins from Aberdeenshire won a stunning £57.9M EuroMillions Jackpot after having their winning ticket mistakenly torn in two. The biggest UK EuroMillions winner this year was a ticket-holder who banked £121M in April who chose to remain anonymous and in February another anonymous player banked £77M.
Currently the biggest lottery win in the UK is Colin and Chris Weir from Largs who won £161M on EuroMillions in 2011. A single winner of this Friday’s jackpot would also sit behind Gillian and Adrian Bayford, who won £148M in 2012 and the previously mentioned £121M winner from April this year.
