March is going to be an epic month with lighter mornings, slightly better weather and more celebrations in four weeks than you can shake a daffodil at!
With an influx of brand new cultural events, such as the official launch of the British Music Experience at its new permanent home at the stunning Cunard Building, to a seriously impressive live tour line-up at the Echo Arena, including Craig David and Olly Murs, plus St Patricks Day (Weekend really isn’t it?), International Women’s Day and Comic Con 2017, you’d better get your Weetabix down you!

The city dining landscape will begin to transform into a beautiful bustling scene this month. Expect more pavement café spots as alfresco dining becomes more popular. Okay so it’s not quite tropical out there yet, but watching it all take shape from the comfort of the window seat will do for now.

Date night just got a bit more special thanks to the stunning new addition at Allerton Manor Gold Club. Underground presents Chris Liebing, Erberle Street
Underground presents is bringing Liverpool ravers a series of in house events with some of the biggest names in House, Techno and more. First up they have one of the biggest names in Techno joining them on Friday 17th March – Chris Liebing plus support TBC. Tickets and more info available here.
Electronic Mix at 24 Kitchen Street
Blawan is one of the best, most underrated Producers in the UK. He returns to Liverpool having previously played a night for Waxxx. Support on the night comes from OR:LA who is making waves having recently had an EP released on Hotflush Recordings. Board the Soul Train at The Arts Club
Jump on board a night train for a journey filled with Funk, Soul, Disco and Motown classics, leading you along the tracks and grooves with those licks of hard hitting horns, punchy rhythms and storming beats! Get to The Arts Club, Friday 11th March and get funky…more details here.
To Rock Out
Blossoms at The Olympia
Stockport band, Blossoms are back in Liverpool after a knock out 2016 playing Glastonbury and reaching the coveted number one spot with their debut album. Get your tickets for this one off gig at The Olympia on Friday 17th March here.
Circa Waves at Liverpool Guild
Formed in Liverpool, indie rock band Circa Waves return to the city this month following the release of their ‘Different Creatures’ album on March 10th. Liverpool Uni, The Mountford Hall is the place to be on Friday 24th March from 7pm. Tickets still available here.
Ditto at Camp & Furnace
Award-winning independent distributor Ditto Music has announced the launch of Ditto Live, a live music event which will take place in Liverpool on Friday 24th March 2017 at Camp & Furnace and check out that line up! We’ve no doubt this will sell out, get your tickets here.

Are thou not entertained? Well you will be! The city is bursting with entertainment offerings throughout March. With a big music influence, we’ve not only attracted a permanent exhibition in the British Music Experience, but also attracted some big hitters such as Olly Murs and Craig David too. The Finest Brit Pop at the Echo Arena
One huge music star was never going to be enough for us this month, and so in one week the Echo Arena is welcoming Olly Murs (March 16th) and Craig David (March 18th) back to the city. Tickets flew out like hot cakes when these dates were released as not only do we love these guys, they love the scousers too! Check out our catch up with Olly back at Fusion Festival, 2016.
The British Music Experience launches at Cunard
We’ve been on the edge of our seats since our Jay first met with Cath at BME to find out more about this giant of British popular culture which has relocated from London to its new home at the Cunard Building. Opening on March 9th you can find out more and get your tickets here.
A Lost Soul at the Royal Court Theatre
One of the Royal Court’s most popular shows, Lost Soul is back and we cant wait to see it! After a nine year break, the show is as fresh and relevant as ever and returning from March 10th until April 8th, 2017. We’re never short of cultural events here in Liverpool, and March is a great month to try something new. Whether that involves dressing up as your favourite super hero, taking in a contemporary ballet, or rocking out to your fave artist at the Baltic Triangle. There’s something for you. Threshold Festival is back on March 31st and we can’t think of a better way to end a belting month in the city. Packed with emerging and established artists across multiple venues at the Baltic Social, in both music and visual arts, its a real feast for the senses. Cosplayers Assemble for Comic Con 2017
We absolutely cant wait for March 11/12th when the city welcomes not only comic fans from around the world but also international TV and film stars, for the second annual MCM Comic Con Liverpool! Merseyside Dance Initiative (MDI) has launched Liverpool’s first ever pop-up dance house at MAKE, a warehouse in the creative north docks area of the city to house LEAP dance festival from March 1-12th, 2017.
