Merseyrail and their convenience store, MtoGo, launch Chocolate World Cup Competition
Merseyrail and MtoGo have launched a competition for football fans and chocolate lovers alike to help celebrate the 2018 world cup this summer.
A 7ft version of the world cup trophy made of Ferrero Rocher chocolates will be on display in the rail operator’s Liverpool Central MtoGo store, with passengers being asked to guess how many chocolates the trophy is made of.
MtoGo is Merseyrail’s small chain of convenience stores located within Hamilton Square, Hooton, Liverpool South Parkway, Lime Street lower level, Liverpool Central, Maghull, Moorfields, Moorfields Old Hall Street, Southport and Waterloo stations. As well as buying local and long distance tickets from MtoGo, passengers will also find an appetising range of fresh sandwiches, drinks, snacks, newspapers, magazines and Costa Coffee.
The Ferrero Rocher trophy will be available from June 14 to July 15. Entrants will need to submit their guess on the available cards at Liverpool Central MtoGo before July 15, by posting them into the collection box to be in with a chance of winning a £250 Liverpool One voucher.
David O’Leary, Commercial Director at Merseyrail said:
“There are a lot of passionate football fans in this city region and we’re looking forward to bringing the excitement of the world cup on to the network. The MtoGo store in Liverpool Central is a great place for us to host this trophy because it’s our largest store, within our busiest station and located right in the city centre, so it’s easy to get to for anyone who wants to see what a 7ft chocolate trophy looks like! ”
The winner will be announced on 16th July 2018.
