New Brighton, We Love You, And This Is Why!

From its glory days as the jewel of the Merseyside coast to the wilderness years when the town fell into disrepair; New Brighton is riding high again and we just can’t get enough of it.

With slick new developments, a bourgeoning independent quarter and oodles of seaside charm, a day (or night) out in New Brighton is an absolute must this summer.

Here’s our guide to the best this seaside gem has to offer.

Marine Point

The development that kick-started New Brighton’s resurgence, Marine Point is a super-modern shopping and leisure hub offering a great mix of activities for the whole family. From drinking and dining to its award-winning cinema and shopping options, it has become the jewel of New Brighton’s waterfront.

The Victoria Quarter

Dubbed the ‘Notting Hill of New Brighton’ this once neglected road just a short stroll away from the promenade has undergone a major facelift. Driven by local developer and hospitality supremo Daniel Davies and his team at Rockpoint Leisure, the street has been brought back to life and now boasts a super-cool refurbished pub, The James Atherton, a fabulous Middle Eastern inspired bar and bistro, Habbibi and a quirky independent clothing shop. Filled with funky street art and a host of original architecture it’s a hipster paradise just waiting to be discovered.

The Mermaid Trail

Add a bit of magic to a stroll along the prom and follow the Mermaid Trail. Designed by local artist Barry Canning-Eaton and decorated by local schools and arts groups, the trail of colourful, life-sized mermaid statues can be followed around New Brighton Promenade.
