Strictly’s Shirley Ballas stars in 3D panto spectacular at the Liverpool Empire
Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, a giant of a panto is coming to the Liverpool Empire this Christmas.
Put your best foot forward and join Merseyside’s own dancing sensation Shirley Ballas as Mother Nature and comic John Evans as Simple Simon as panto, Jack & The Beanstalk, a GIANT 3D spectacular come to the Liverpool Empire this winter.

Making her panto debut back in her native north-west, Shirley, who has danced since the age of 7, took the dancing world by storm. Three-time British Open to the World Latin American Champion, ten-time US Latin American Champion and multiple-times British National Champion, Shirley had won almost every major title she competed in, by the age of 21.
Now heading up the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing judging panel, Shirley has swapped the Blackpool Tower Ballroom for the Liverpool Empire and is looking forward to treading the boards back in Merseyside this Winter, she said: “I’m playing Mother Nature who directs the show and tries to make everybody fall in love.
“I’m feeling very excited, I’ve met everybody today and I know I’m in really good hands with John, because he’s so experienced and I’m not!
Joining Shirley, and back by popular demand is John Evans, as Simple Simon. John’s clever comedy has taken him across the globe, entertaining the British Forces and with the world’s major cruise lines. John said: ” I was lucky enough to play buttons in Cinderella last year and it’s a real thrill to be back again, I can’t wait to get started.
We can’t wait to see this Christmas panto extravaganza come to life with a special 3D journey that the audience will never forget.
John said: “You’ve got to buy a ticket to find out about the 3D aspect but I’ll give a hint, I’ve seen it and when the kids put their 3D glasses on and explore the giants kitchen, it’s just fantastic.”
The production is packed full of laugh out loud comedy, special effects, audience participation and of course, sensational dance! Well you can’t have the Queen of Strictly about and not expect a full on show!
This year’s Liverpool Empire panto will be a strictly sensation treat for all the family.
