Steven Gerrard

This week, Liverpool’s sporting culture took a massive hit, with one of the cities most famous sons announcing his retirement. Steven Gerrard played 710 games for LFC, scoring 186 in a career that lasted for 17 seasons. Gerrard was often labelled the best midfielder of his generation by his fellow players, and also captained England for a number of years. Not bad for a lad from Huyton. Check out a highlight reel of Stevie here.
