Sleepout for Liverpool’s Homeless tomorrow
Tomorrow night will see over 150 people sleeping out all night in onesies and cardboard shelters to raise money for The Whitechapel Centre.
Last year the event raised over £25,000 and is designed to help raise awareness of the difficult situations someone at risk of homelessness might face, to extend knowledge of what the charity can do for vulnerable citizens and to raise as much money as we can to help us to prevent homelessness and housing poverty.
There will be prizes for the best onesie, the best shelter and the best individual and group fundraisers. All sleepout participants will wake up in the morning with a well-earned breakfast donated by a local business.
We met Sarah Calan from The Whitechapel Centre to find out more.
You can still get involved too and help the city’s homeless…
