St George’s Hall to host Lord Mayor of Liverpool’s Christmas Concert this December

St George’s Hall is set to host the Christmas Concert of the year as local choirs and performers come together to support the Lord Mayor of Liverpool,Cllr Roz Gladden, and her chosen charities.

The stunning Concert Room at St George’s Hall will be filled with Christmas cheer on Monday 19th December as compere Steve MacFarlane invites you to join him for a programme bursting with traditional festive songs and performances from some of Merseyside’s most talented and respected performers.

With performances from classical star, Danielle Louise Thomas, Sing Me Merseyside led by Billy Hui, and Championship Rainford Band, plus a special reading from comedian, Pauline Daniels, the concert, supported by Smooth FM, is the perfect way to kick off your Christmas week.

The aim of the Christmas Concert is to support the Lord Mayor’s Charity which supports four local organisations; Claire House Children’s Hospice, R Charity, Liverpool Heartbeat and Tom Harrison House, all of which will share the proceeds from ticket sales and donations.

Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr Roz Gladden said: “This is going to be a really special evening, and I’m really looking forward to sitting back and watching the magic happen on that beautiful stage. We are really lucky to have some extremely talented performers involved, and I am extremely grateful to them, and Smooth Radio North West, and those whom have come together to help organise and be a part of such an event to raise money for my chosen charities. So, please come and join me on Monday 19th December for a fantastic evening’

Adding to the bill at this year’s Christmas Concert is Merseyside’s championship brass ensemble, Rainford Band, coupled with the hardest working school choir in Liverpool, Archbishop Blanch, the award winning Centenary Theatre Company and vocalist Aimée Clare for goose-bump inducing carols that will get you in the festive mood.

Tickets are available from Ticketquarter here, or from the Queen Square Box Office and are priced at £13.20 for adults and £7.70 for children (inc booking fee) Ticket holders will also receive a drink and mince pie on arrival.
