The A-Z of LIMF 2018

The countdown to LIMF 2018 is well underway and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before.

Sefton Park will be brought to life with a soundtrack like no other on 21-22nd July 2018 as Liverpool International Music Festival (LIMF) returns with a top class line up of local and international artists for a two day party in the park.

We’re back with LIMF TV bringing you all the behind the scenes and backstage gossip and our Jay is hosting the central stage all weekend long. With the likes of Example and DJ Wire, Hacienda Classical, Trevor Nelson, Tim Westwood, Neil Noa, Aurora, Basement Jaxx and The Vryll Society gracing four different stages, there’s a sound to suit every taste in music. As VIP ticket sales rocket, we take a closer look at what you can expect at LIMF 2018.

Here’s your A-Z OF LIMF 2018….

A – Aurora/ Academy

Don’t miss Aurora on Central stage on Sunday alongside the LIMF Academy artists; Remee, Mary Miller and Gazelle.

B – Basement Jaxx/ Bevies

Oh My Gosh, Basement Jaxx are bringing a blinding DJ set to Sunday evening and of course, there’s loads of places around the festival to grab a bevvie to hold in the air while you sing!

C – Cuisine

From fresh crepes to Chinese and all the cracking chow in between, one thing is for sure, you won’t go hungry at LIMF 2018.

D – DJ’s

On to a different Club House! The True School Club House and Shubz DJ Tent will be filled to the rafters with world renowned names such as Tim Westwood, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Giles Peterson and Danny Rampling.

E – Electric Atmosphere

Whether you choose to wander between the different stages or stick to your fave, the atmosphere at LIMF 2018 is guaranteed to be electric, especially for the finale on Sunday night.

F – Free for Under 12’s

For each adult ticket purchased a child under 12 goes free, meaning you can spend a brilliant weekend in the park for less than £10! All children must have a ticket to gain entry.

G – Good Times Guaranteed

H – Hacienda Classical

Now talk about an unmissable act! Hacienda Classical will once again bring something truly different to Sefton Park when the 70 piece orchestra takes to the stage to knock your socks off.

I – International

LIMF 2018 has attracted a number of international acts including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jordan Rakei and Aurora, which will once again put Liverpool on the festival map, around the world.

J – Jax Jones

Returning for a second time, Jax Jones had the crowd bouncing at LIMF last year and will no doubt bring the sunshine again with his wicked DJ set (and possibly another T-shirt canon).

K – Kids Zone

The kids zone will be packed with all kinds of activities for your little ones to enjoy, from crafty sessions to story telling, plenty of dancing of course the best face painters around!

L – Lineup

It is surely one of the, if not the best lineup to date with established artists like Example, Jax Jones, Basement Jaxx, Rae Morris and Jazzie B and a whole host of upcoming superstars like Ray BLK, Mahalia, Joel Culpepper and Jordan Rakei.

M – Merseyrail Journey Planner

You can plan your weekend at LIMF 2018 with the super handy Merseyrail Journey Planner. Just a short walk from St Michael’s Station you can catch the trains to and from Sefton Park all day long.

N – Next Gen Stage

The Next Gen It’s Liverpool stage is a must see at LIMF 2018 as an unmissable line up of the best local musicians perform live. Expect to see and hear Neil Noa, Astles and Sub Blue plus loads more.

Yes, were back in the thick of it with LIMF TV across the weekend, and our very own Jay Hynd is back hosting Central Stage, for the full two days.

Q – Quality/ Queen Zee

The quality of the LIMF line-up never fails to surprise us, attracting huge names, unrivalled talent and unforgettable sets. Speaking of which, do not miss Manchester band, Queen Zee on Sunday, it’s gonna go off.

R – Ray BLK/ Rae Morris

Rae and Ray bring their unique voices and a whole load of girl power to LIMF 2018, both playing the Central Stage on Sunday,and we think you’re gonna love them.

S – Sefton Park/ “Summertime”


It just wouldn’t be summer without spending a whole weekend listening to your favourite artists, having a few drinks and having none other than DJ Jazzy Jeff spinning ‘Summertime’ on the decks! Oh LIMF!

T – Trevor Nelson/ Toddla T

The man, the legend that is Trevor Nelson returns to LIMF for a second consecutive year for his turn on the decks at the True School Club House on Saturday while Toddla T rips it up in the Shubz DJ Tent, all in one day!

U – Unlimited Fun For Just A Fiver

Whether you’re chilling in VIP, run-ragged in the family zone, bouncing the the DJ tent or singing loud at proud at Central Stage, there’s unlimIted good times to be had right across the LIMF 2018 festival site for just £5 advanced ticket per day. Who are you going with?

V – VIP/ Vryll Society

X – Xample (Example)

Alright so we cheated a little bit on this one, but London-born DJ, Example will light up the LIMF 2018 Central Stage on Saturday and Liverpool Wont Go Quietly!

Y – Young Fathers

Mercury Prize winning, Scottish band, Young Fathers will have the Central Stage crowds-a-swayin’ on Sunday. Will we hear Tremelo, In My View or Shame? Get your tickets and find out!

Z – Zanetti (Tom Zanetti)

There’s no denying that we can’t wait to throw our hands up to ‘You Want Me’ when Tom Zanetti takes to the decks on the Central Stage on Saturday. Summer tunes at their best!
