The Old Stables Restaurant, Allerton Manor brings a bit of the Med to Merseyside

At last the sun has made a welcome return to Merseyside and we’re all set to scope out our favourite outdoor dining destinations to see us through until Autumn.

The Old Stables Restaurant, Allerton Manor has a true ace up its sleeve when it comes to al-fresco socialising. The restaurant and bar is set in the stunning surroundings of Allerton Manor Golf Club, think lush green lawns, bird song….basically it’s a real suburban gem!

Away from the hustle and bustle of the high street and just a ten minute drive from the city centre, The Old Stables Restaurant is bringing a little bit of the Med to Merseyside this summer, here’s 6 reasons why you should check it out for yourself.

1 – Bringing the Outside In

The light-drenched dining room and bar at The Old Stables offers diners a comfortable, stylish place to relax and unwind and when the weather wants to play ball, the bi-folding doors allows the chilled out atmosphere to spill out onto the terrace whether the sun is shining, or the stars!

2 – Light Lunches and Sparkling Drinks

Whether you’re meeting the girls for a gossip or planning a working lunch, The Old Stables offers a range of light dishes that are perfect for a lunchtime pit-stop. Why not reserve your table for a sophisticated lunch and try the Risotto Primavera or the Seabass Acqua Pazza and a glass of something sparkly and dine in style on the terrace?

3 – Work up an Appetite and Dine Local

If you’ve taken advantage of the newly re-opened Allerton Manor golf course and need a hearty meal, there’s a range of British classics on the menu from breakfast until dinner, including the hearty Manor Burger (which coincidentally goes down a treat with a refreshing pint after a morning on the golf course!)

4 – The Sun Trap

As if the mouth-watering food, beautiful surroundings and chilled out atmosphere wasn’t enough, The Old Stables boasts a stylish outdoor terrace, flanked by trees, twinkly lights and parasols that transport you to the South of France with the clink of an ice-cube! We can’t think of a better place to sample the new Afternoon Tea menu, scone anyone?

5 – After Dark

The fun doesn’t stop at dusk at The Old Stables Restaurant, with Ladies Night on Fridays comes live entertainment, drinks deals and an opportunity to experience the warm evenings on the terrace under those gorgeous twinkly lights. With the comprehensive dinner menu available until 10pm, The Old Stables brings Mediterranean nights to the heart of Merseyside.

6 – Celebrate in Style as The Old Stables Restaurant welcomes The Hayloft

Officially opening at the end of May, The Hayloft is a unique space, perfect for special occasions, private functions and corporate events. With ample parking, stunning in-house catering and the added bonus of breath-taking surroundings, The Hayloft is the perfect destination to celebrate your special day.
