Film nights, speed dating, not one but two massive bands and loads of comedy, this is your week in Liverpool.

The students are back, January pay day is on the horizon and we’re taking on what’s being dubbed the most depressing day of the year, with a free cuppa from Liverpool ONE. Monday 21st January

Free Cuppa at The Cosy Club, Liverpool ONE

Music Movies #1, The Blues Brothers, Studio2

Studio2, Parr Street kicks off its Music Movie season with The Blues Brothers on Thursday night from 7pm. This iconic film gets a big screen showing followed by a dance party afterwards. Glasses and hats at the ready, we’re on a mission from God! Tickets here. 

Girl Power, The Spice Girls Experience, St Helens Theatre Royal

If you know all the words to Wannabe, if you we’re a Posh, Ginger, Scary, Sporty or Baby, if you knew all the dance routines and harmonies, then you defo loved The Spice Girls and should get to St Helens Theatre Royal for this brilliant show that charts their world wide success. Tickets here. 


Friday 25th January

Nathan Carter Live, Philharmonic Hall

Did you know that one of Irelands biggest live music acts is a lad from Liverpool? Nathan Carter plays a homecoming gig at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Friday, bringing his own unique take on country/pop cross over back to the scouse crowds. Tickets selling fast here. 

Finca’s Cuban/Chinese Feast, The Bagelry

This weekend The Bagelry will become the home of a huge Cuban/Chinese fusion feast as Finca serves up a 1950’s Latin American inspired dining event. There’s two sittings each day and they’re selling fast. Check out the vegan roast dinner pasties there too! Info here.

Adam Kay Junior Doctor: This is going to hurt Liverpool Empire

Award-winning comedian Adam Kay shares entries from his diaries as a junior doctor in this brilliant evening of stand-up and music. Whether you’ve read the accompanying book or not, you’ll likely end up in stitches. Tickets here. 

Save The Rave featuring Bez, Circo

Our very own DJ Lee Butler is at CIRCO on Friday from the Save The Rave Launch event featuring a DJ set from none other than Bez! Davey T, Rob Cain and special guests complete the music line up. Minimum age 25. Tickets here.

Clothes Swap, Make North Docks

Kaiser Chiefs, Mountford Hall

Mountford Hall plays host to the Kaiser Chiefs on Saturday night at 7pm. Back with a headline tour having been holed up in the studio since their last album ‘Stay Together’ in 2016, we can’t wait to hear the new material live. Tickets here. 

Kingdom 11th Birthday Bash with Jocelyn Brown

Pop Up Café, Sefton Park Palm House

Boyzone Farewell Tour, M&S Bank Arena

After 25 years of boy band fame, six UK number 1 singles and five UK number 1 albums, Boyzone released their final album, ‘Thank You & Goodnight’ in November and bring the tour to our M&S Bank Arena on Sunday. Tickets here.

Royal Rumble Quiz, MODO

One for the Kids

Family Saturday’s at Victoria Gallery & Museum

Victoria Museum & Gallery, Ashton Street hosts its free family film and craft session this Saturday from 10:30am until 4pm. It’s totally free and you can watch kids film Khumba and get involved in a crafts too. Info here.
