This week in Liverpool 25th February – 3rd March 2019

March madness hits the city this week with plenty of music, food, theatre, comedy and of course derby day action.

This week in Liverpool is bursting with events and activities and seeing as the good weather is set to stick around, why not take the opportunity to have a mooch around the markets, update your wardrobe or enjoy an al fresco lunch? Okay dining outside might be a bit ambitious but with Global Scouse Day 2019 sweeping the city on Thursday, just make sure you’re hungry!

Here’s what’s on this week in Liverpool….

Monday 25th February

Rapide Lunch at Bistro Franc, Hanover Street

Did you know you can enjoy a two course lunch at Bistro Franc for just £10.50? The menu changes every week and serves up fresh, tasty dishes to suit all tastes. The prawns and quinoa gets our thumbs up! Menus and more here. 

Fill A Bag, Leaf on Bold Street

Bags at the ready ladies as Leaf on Bold Street hosts another Fill A Bag event with the Whitechapel Centre. It kicks off at 6pm, fill a bag for £10 and do your bit for an amazing charity. Info here. 

Movie Night at The Viking Pub & Bakehouse, West Kirby

There’s two packages on offer at The Viking movie night on Monday. Mates Date which includes bottomless soft drinks, popcorn and pizza or date night which includes house wine, popcorn and pizza. Book yours here. 


Tuesday 26th February

The Bodyguard, Liverpool Empire Theatre

Calling all Whitney fans, this is a must-see! The international, award-winning smash-hit musical based on the blockbuster film, The Bodyguard is at the Liverpool Empire from 26th Feb until 9th March and stars Alexandra Burke. Tickets and info here. 

BEAT Tour, Crazy Pedro’s, Parr Street

Crazy Pedro’s is hosting the BEAT Tour on Tuesday from 1pm so whether you’re in hospitality or just like a tipple go check this out. There’s 3 seminars planned and plenty of drinks. More info here. 

Scandi & Chill at Skaus, HUS

Nothing spoils your Friday like realising its only Tuesday! Luckily the guys and girls at Skaus are serving up plenty of insanely good Scandi cuisine at HUS, Tithebarn Street, that’ll restore your chill. Menus and more here. 

 


Wednesday 27th February

Palm House Yoga, Palm House Sefton Park

Sticking with chill, why not head to the Palm House, Sefton Park and invest in some me time with a bit of yoga. Start your day with some gentle stretching at one of the city’s most beautiful venues. Info here.

Global Scouse Day 2019

It’s back! Global Scouse Day will sweep the region (and the world, obvs) on Thursday and alongside the brilliant GSD Party at the Palm House, we’ve listed our top places to indulge in the best thing since crusty bread. Head this way to plan your GSD.

Afternoon Tea & Make Up Masterclass with Charlottle Tilbury

X Factor Live Tour, M&S Bank Arena

80’s Mania, St Helen’s Theatre Royal

BASSHUNTER Live, Hangar 34

Merseyside Derby Day, The Tank Room

Here we go again! It’s all eyes on Goodison this Sunday as the Merseyside Derby kicks off at 4:15pm. If you haven’t got a tickets for the game head to The Tank Room, Cain’s Brewery Village to watch all the action on the big screen. Info here. 

Mark Watson, The Infinite Show, Epstein Theatre

If you like your stand up comedy with a side of breathless ranting, this is the show for you. Comedian Mark Watson plays the Epstein Theatre on Sunday with his ‘The Infinity Show’ tour. He’s a dad on a mission to understand the world his kids are growing up in and he’s not happy. Tickets and booking here.
